  1. :) Took my 2003 IS200 SE auto to Norwich Lexus for an intermediate service last week. Very pleased with the help given by Billiejo on service reception - new alloys on order and contact number given for windscreen repair/replacement and advice on whether windscreen has heating element. Service was £183 and included application of copper grease to resolve clonking noise from brakes at low speed. Air con service was recommended at a cost of £99. So, good service from Lexus Norwich but unfortunately they no longer do Gold Membership discount. Saw the IS250 in the flesh for the first time and it is stunning. The seats are very comfortable and the cabin first class. However, I shall be holding on to the IS200 for the foreseeable future. Happy motoring and congratulations on a great forum. Regards Roger Brooks
  2. Acquired my 2003 IS200SE auto (wife will only drive an auto) 4 weeks ago having been told to get rid of my beloved MX5 and to get something sensible. Very pleased with the car so far. Forum is very good and have picked up many useful hints. Stone chips on bonnet have not been touched up well although car was acquired from Lexus garage. I note from the handbook that D3/2/1 are used for engine braking but I have been using D3 for overtaking rather than kickdown. Is this normal practice in an auto as I realise it is not really a sequential box? I have done over 1000 miles so far and its really comfortable on a long run. Regards to all.
