  1. It transpires my IS300H had a major service just before I purchased it the next service is a secondary. I asked for a qoute for the Lexus Extended Service contract but Motorline, the local Lexus dealer, have replied quoting 'their own' 3 year offer which in effect provides a discount of just under 10% !!!!! An offer, in my opinion, I can certainly well afford to ignore. Lexus on-line example represents a saving of the order of 35%. Quite how Motorline can whittle this away to less than 10% is beyond me. I have requested a quote for the official 2 year Lexus Extended Service but I have a suspicion Motorline are not going to comply with my request.
  2. Thanks Phil, I have contacted Lexus and they are sending me a 'quote' tomorrow but I got the impression from my conversation that it would be impacted upon by my proposed 6 year service - which has been delayed somewhat because of the lockdown and my need to isolate. I had hoped that I could include this in the 24 month package as a major service but it seems this may not be possible.
  3. Are you implying that the Lexus Essentials servicing cannot be purchased at any stage? I purchased an IS300H about a year ago and took up the option of the 'Extended Warranty' but failed to appreciate the potential benefits of the servicing package. I now need a service undertaken and had hoped I would be able to purchase the service package for the next 2 years but I think you are implying I will need to have and pay for - what will be a major - service and then post the service enter into an agreement. Not convinced on the merits of such an option. Finnancially it does n't seem to stack up.
  4. Thanks Dipstickk and Jayw, I have been abroad for a while and just got around to looking at this matter again as I am getting sick of the satnav showing I am driving off road over fields - This is not much of a problem in the UK where I am pretty au-fait with the major road system but a little disturbing in parts of Europe where my knowledge is a bit flakey. I am familiar with the 'satnavishop' site and 'toyotamaps.online' which offers a similar us based service. I still find there is a degree of ambiguity on the screens shown on satnavshop - in that my nav includes pics shown on two of the options. But as it is a supposedly a Premium system (a bit of a joke for such a poor navigation unit) I am hoping I can get away with the replacement SD card option which Jayw makes reference to - I have finally located the Lexus SD card under the DVD drive.
  5. Jay I presume from the final line that you did finally manage to open the attached PDF. The first two which you refer to ie Generation 8 & 9 only apply to 2014 onward vehicles. My car was registered in March 2014 and as such I suspect it could actually be a late 2013 production model. Furthermore although I purchased the car three months ago from Lexus Birmingham I am unaware of any SD card being present. Apart from the usual paperwork all I was given was the general Lexus DVD. I believe the GPS is the premium version and suspect it is Generation 7 which I believe can be upgraded via a USB with an appropriate activation number. I only wish it were a GEN 8 or 9 as these appear to be easier and cheaper to update.
  6. Can anyone help me determine what GEN of sat nav I have in my IS300H Luxury version March 2014 model. My Lexus only advises it is 02 33 53 but I need to determine the actual GENx value and this does not appear in any of the on-board screens or in MyLexus web-site. I have downloaded the official Lexus pdf (attached) but sods law it gives the values for all other models but not this period of IS300h. My primary reason is to know if I can download the update. Navigation GEN Index pdf.pdf
