  1. A set of brembo F&R discs. These have set in a garage for a couple of years unused, however damp has soaked into the cardboard and put some surface rust on the discs. One of the rears has no box but is unused. The front pads are brembo and the rears are a ceramic.  Discs can be cleaned up with wet & dry or fitted and used.

Due to weight these are for collection only  from just outside Tonbridge Kent.

    Price is £425

  2. @Northern Dan - I would have kept it, but for the fact that my GSD would never fit in a ISF.  I once looked at a ISF that the owner kept his dog in and the state of the plastics were enough to make you cry. If Lexus made an estate with the ISF motor in it, then that would be a viable option.

My AMG E63 has the M157 motor in it and despite its size and power it will return 28-32mpg on a sedate trip. Around the B roads where I live it's more 20-25mpg. The D3 V8 that I also have will do 10-12mpg on B roads and mid to high 20s on a sedate cruise. The D3 is also going shortly.

  3. @Grey One The wheels and white leather trim, were 'no cost' options on the 2010+ models, the sunroof was a £785 extra. The trader who took my car was 6'2" and had no problem with the minimal loos of headroom, so much light is let in that I would never consider a car that didn't have one. In my 2yrs+ of ownership I only saw one other ISF on the road and that was in Kings Hill which is about 10mls from me. I'm very happy to have owned it. 👍

  4. Well my old car has gone to a trader called Sam 😀

Worth a look if you want a 2010+ model with all the factory options, the  OTP electric exhaust valve works really well, no issues with MOT or Lexus dealers. Never used the Apexi controller, so can't comment on it.

Well the issue should be resolved on Sunday, opted for another car for the dogs, kayaks n Spanish jaunts @Flytvr you’ll be pleased to know I’m back in Volvo 😂……. V50 BUT with the 2.4 auto petrol unit, couldn’t stand the idea of more agg with a Ford engine 😉……so the F remains.

Well done 👍 I'm meeting with a car dealer later this week, he has a E63 AMG estate and is offering a reasonable deal with the ISF, so mine may well be going back onto the market with a trader in the not too distance future. Having not driven a E63 it will be interesting to see how they compare.

  6. I have also been looking for the 'one' car does all, as need to take my GSD away when we go. All the faff of double tax and Insurance plus upkeep is getting a chore. D3 V8s also drink twice what an ISF does 😀

As I want, not need, something with some presence and go I have sort of settled on a E63 AMG estate with the bi turbo 5.5l V8. Gets decent mpg on long runs and still has plenty of performance and gadgets to make it interesting.

  7. I don't think that's the 'infamous' failure - which refers to the manifold cracking. Unless you have any cracks then that looks how it should be.

I don't know this from personal experience, just looking online, I have seen lots of stock exhausts looking like that.

@Womble72 changed his a while back, I'm sure he will be able to put you on the right path.

  8. I really need to replace my current pair of cars (ISF & D3) and just have one. It needs to take the family and the large dog (GSD)

My thoughts are Jaguar XFRS estate or Merc E63 AMG estate. Both have large V8 engines and good carrying capacity.

I don't want a SUV or anything hybrid.

Not keen on the Audi RS6

Anything I should consider not mentioned above?

  9. Nope, not a Lexus LFA with 2k on the clock 😀

I always thought those YT vids of people pulling old classics from a barn in the middle of nowhere were staged.

Well last weekend it was a big birthday for my son, so we hired a large oast house down in Sussex as a surprise and invited extended family down to celebrate.

There was an old barn just on the edge of the entrance road to where we stayed and my youngest saw a pony being groomed just beside the barn so we wandered down there to have a closer look.

Inside there was a ride on mower and two old cars. One was tarped up and the other was just sat there covered in layers of dust.

I took a note of the reg on the tarped up car and it turns out it was a 1960 Alvis TD 21 in blue with 33k on the clock and has been off the road since 2017

The other is a Triumph GT6

Wonder if they will ever see the light of day again
