    How would you actually remove the panel to access the amplifier? Having a little trouble here

    Ahhh okay, that clears things up regarding the speaker on the dash. £160 odd just for the ASC speaker and housing?! Yeah I think I'm with you on that - not worth the time nor money. I'm guessing the repair would involve taking the dash apart which can bring it's own set of problems too. Fake engine noise isn't really my thing - glad they give the option to turn it off. Thanks for the effort man!

    I'm getting the same audio crackle when the ASC is switched on in my IS. It doesn't bother me too much as I don't care at all for fake engine noise and keep it switched off. But I am intrigued about whether the central speaker on the dash is solely dedicated to this feature...
