  1. I’m currently on my third NX and I agree with that comment, quite poor fuel consumption really..
  2. Well, when my LBX arrives in April I’ll park it next to my wife’s Renault Captur and see how much it resembles…. I’ve driven the LBX which certainly doesn’t feel like a Captur but similarly, in a better way, has a premium feel like my current NX
  3. It was Colin, it's actually quite deep into the cars rear seat backs.. I'm 5.10" in height and my driving position was okay to give reasonable passenger clearance sat behind me, but for a driver who requires more driving space by setting the driver's seat further back, then the rear of the driver's seat to passenger leg room may well be compromised, hence a deeper boot space. My side by side comparison with the a new UX at the dealership (the car I was going to downsize to) showed that the UX boot was, in my view, looked miniscule. The other reason for my change of mind from my NX to UX over my NX to LBX was that having had 3 x NX's and kept them for just over 2 years each, I thing the cars are fabulous, but I think the UX being a smaller version of the NX, it was time to go for a different look, and when you see the LBX, it's a new look.. hybrid too, as opposed to all (no thanks) electric.
  4. Drove one yesterday.. out of Lexus Bolton who have it until Monday.. seems to be circulating the dealerships
  5. Yes, the bigger LBX engine version is likely out next year.. I might even change to that in about 2 yrs
  6. So today I test drove the LBX Takumi Design out of the Lexus Bolton dealership.. as mentioned I’ve been an NX owner three times over but am now entering into retirement.. I was surprised with the LBX, I found it technically advanced (over my 2yr old NX), quiet to drive, handled well, responsive, comfortable.. there was a mention of a small boot space.. well I compared it side by side with a UX and found it to be bigger.. clearly not a NX space but that size boot for me is no longer needed.. so all in all impressed.. Order upgraded and delivery expected mid to end of April
  7. thanks for the response Stephen, yes, interesting to see the video, i have been in contact with the dealership about hovering between downsizing to the UX250 F Sport but dependent on my own thoughts after seeing the LBX myself when it arrives into their stock for prospective customers to see and test drive, etc.. i'll then confirm my order either way.. i must admit that the sizing will be of no issue for me, it's whether I like the car close up..
  8. Well, retirement approaches and my use of NX's that I've owned will soon end as I switch to a 'major' downsize.. I hope that I will not be disappointed with the new LBX Takumi, I understand that the LBX is slightly smaller than the UX (which I was going to go for) but loaded with a lot more knobs and whistles and technology.. I'll see the LBX car at the dealership in December/January but not taking delivery until March-ish.. has anyone on this forum actually seen the LBX close up?
  9. That’s true.. not sure how this happened though, certainly not kerbing
  10. Hi All My NX300h (2021/22 model) appears to have an anomaly with the steering wheel as in when I driving straight my steering wheel has slightly to the left off centre position.. I am asking if anyone has had such an issue, where did you use to check and if necessary adjust.. was it just laser alignment only or was it that plus ADAS?
  11. I had a 2019 NX that used to regularly ‘fault’ so on my second service I asked the dealership to look into it, when collecting my car later that day the service desk told me ‘well it’s a common issue that comes with the car’. My utter dismay made me contact Lexus direct and within a number days I had a phone call saying my car was being recalled back into service, they replaced parking sensors and a software update fix.. the car never gave a fault again.. Ive recently bought a new 2021 NX and as of yet perfectly good in every respect
  12. Hi LenT, thank you for you input, quite simply, the situation is I'm busy running a business, it's time and efficiency in getting Lexus to save me a job that in fact I could quite easily do, but I see them being a better option as the new car is currently sitting their at Lexus waiting to be picked up later this week, on a day that suits me, so it's a new car and I thought I'd get them to either do one of two things.. supply / fit a new system.. or, I supply them my existing Nextbase 512GW (that is a 2019 purchase and now superseded).. I rang Lexus this afternoon and the sales assistant I spoke to (not the chap I'm dealing with) told me there were no deals on new dash cams, they don't make enough margin! but although the dealership do not like to fit previously fitted dash cams, even though they fitted for me when I bought this NX in 2019 from them, they will acceed to this request of mine for them to fit my current one.. at no cost to me ! but at no risk to them.. so now I'm contemplating..
  13. No deal on offer Tel, they just said, 'we have no margin to offer a deal' !! so I think I'll be sorting it myself..
  14. All I can say in response to my initial comment about faulty sensor issues, was that the service assistant on the desk was very matter of fact that it was a common problem..! Not my problem I thought, so being given so much negativity I contact Lexus UK customer relations, I then had a series of phone calls and my car ended up back in service and all the sensors and another software update.. fault never happened since..
  15. Hi All, I’m contemplating asking Lexus service to install the ‘Lexus’ (Nextbase) dash cam in my new car before I pick it up next week.. I’ve got the Nextbase 512GW in my current NX which works fine but just wondered had anyone gone for the current approved latest version..
  16. Parking Sensor issue... So on my second service I mentioned the issue to the service reception again.. I was told, 'it is known issue and that Lexus are aware of it but it was inherent in the model' Well, that's was a red flag to me. I then wrote to customer relations at Lexus through the Lexus website indicating my dismay at my buying an inherent issue! I received a phone call from Lexus UK customer relations saying I would receive a call from the after-sales manager at my Lexus dealership, I did too.. so my car goes in tomorrow for ALL front sensors to be replaced... (where the issue shows as being the problem) and the car is going to software updated with latest info from manufacturing.. so lets see if works and I don't have parking sensor issues indicated while in the outside of our local motorway systems in the future
  17. Absolutely no change in what you currently experience.. if you have android or apple iPhone, connect either by cable or WiFi connection, select android or carplay.. by menu or a 2 second depressions the steering control, by simply disconnecting the cable of WiFi connection to the phone reverts the car back to normal lexus nav
  18. Hi, does anyone else experience Parking Sensor issues particularly in wet weather conditions? "Parking Assist Unavailable" please clean sensors !! My NX was in Lexus Stockport service last week for a service, I mentioned the issue and was told.. "this is quite common, they all do it" So i'm kind of informed (or fobbed off) it cannot be rectified.. anyone else had this?
  19. One thing I didn't think to consider was annual price increases.... something is starting to make sense... looks like a way forward.. thanks for all comments
  20. Hi, my 2019 NX300 is in for its second service today.. thing is, to me this car suits my every need and since I'm considering keeping car, question is, are the RRG Lexus service plans really worth considering.. £1,025 for three more services, a couple of mot's at half price, 10% of additional services and also of workshop hours.. anyone done this? Oh, and the other service desk sale is extended warranty.. 2yrs for £795..!! Anyone considered this?
  21. 2021 brings a new dawn to wifi connection for us Android / NX300h users.. I asked the manufacturers/ resellers of the Apple CarPlay 2 device to let me know when an Android version were to be made available.. well hot off the cyber press I've just had a notification.. See this link.. https://cplay2air.com/products/carplay2air-wireless-adapter-for-android-head-units-android-auto-mirror-link
  22. Has anyone had experience of tyre puncture repairs on their NX300h. Who did you used? I seem to have a very slow puncture that either needs repair or replacement tyre, but, I don't want to go anywhere who don't use Lexus valve parts etc.. had experiences with other cars in the past that black non standard valves were fitted etc.. and we have sensors..
  23. Pleased if you'd let us know how the v2 OTA map update goes..
