  1. If one only has the amber PCS warning light on the dashboard, but no error messages, make sure PCS isn't just disabled.
  2. It's part of the APCS (Advanced Pre-Crash Safety) system, which was an option in most markets. EU market LS600h equipped with APCS ought to be able to stop automatically and move in slow-moving traffic with adaptive cruise control; my car does this. From the Launch Pack: I've had the system activate once; I was going uphill, approaching a turn with a metal fence, and looking the other way to see if there are vehicles coming. I hadn't touched the brakes yet since I was going uphill and the speed was dropping anyway. I think it was the combination of the approaching fence, having not touched the brakes, and not looking straight ahead that caused the car to beep at me and gently apply the brakes. I've driven there hundreds of times in my life, and wasn't really in any danger, but I guess it's nice to know the car is looking out for me.
  3. The bulb in that drawing most certainly isn't an H1 bulb...they don't have that angled plastic connector. The part number is apparently 90080-81041, and upon googling that I got references to 9005 bulbs, which is the same as HB3. Performance versions of those are available; I just ordered a pair Osram Nightbreaker Laser HB3 bulbs for the main beams on my father's RX400h. Before ordering anything, I'd check the owner's manual just to be sure.
  4. Great at making cars, but not so great at naming them. Regardless of etymology, the impression is that the name is just the word Luxus with a single letter changed, and apparently the LS600h model name comes from "Luxury Sedan, engine-wise equal to S600, hybrid". Once someone pointed out that the logo has a nose in it, I haven't been able to see it any other way...
  5. Welcome to Europe's Leading Lexus Club! Please Enjoy!
