Ha ha! Indeed - almost impossible to get an accurate reply from anyone - had the same query a few weeks ago but as you can see from the other thread, I sorted it with a flooded slightly uprated Battery. Worth saying that the original was not an AGM in my car. All working well and I can already tell that the new Battery lasts way longer with good charge than the old one. Can therefore recommend the Bosch S5005 as a good replacement. Currently £104.09 from EuroCarParts if that's any help! 🙂 Good luck.

Lexus say that a solution is on the way next month. Not that that will help you poor guys who have lost your cars already 😕

@Steve Oliver after your battery change did you have reset anything?
I had to manually close the boot lid and now my parking assist is unavailable. Therefore wondering if you faced anything similar.
Hi, yes I had to reset the boot lid too. Also the parking assist had to recalibrate, which it does when you drive over 40mph-ish in a straight line. I've done this twice now and both times have worked. Apparently it's expected when changing the Battery.
Otherwise the only things I had to reset were the climate set temperatures and the HUD settings (height and what is displayed). Oh, and possibly the steering wheel height and reach. HTH

I'm pretty sure it isn't AGM - the fact that the OEM Panasonic battery has min/max fluid level markings implies it is a flooded battery of some kind. The OEM battery is 60 Ah (20 hours) so your Bosch has a very slight capacity advantage - which can only be a good thing 🙂
You're right, it does have min/max markings, so seems you're right. I think this Bosch Battery can only be an improvement. I never really trusted the previous one very much.

Take a look on Tayn car batteries website or Lexusparts direct.
I had a Panasonic lead acid battery before can only assume it is what was supplied when it left the factory. Since then I purchased a battery from Lexuspartsdirect they supplied an AGM battery. The one advantage of AGM is they are suppose to be sealed so in the event of a rear end accident the acid wont leak + they handle discharge better in terms of recovery. Since your 12v is located under the boot compartment in the spare tyre section how likely is it to leak anyway worst case scenario if its upside down.
The disadvantage with going with what Lexus provide the batteries have low AH amps per hour rating hybrid 12v batteries typically rated around 45-55AH. They need to be either recharged or driven regularly. Id suggest if you have access to an outdoor socket consider investing in a Noco Genius 5 charger & charge it once a month. Getting a new battery is all well & good but if your not using the car regularly to give it a chance to charge up you will only end up with a flat battery. If its over 5 years old then its not long before its due replacement anyway. To the point try to find a battery with the highest AH that fits the dimensions of your existing battery.
Thanks for your reply, Al. I spoke with a couple of Lexus dealers (and Lexus Parts Direct) and surprisingly (?) none of them were really very sure what the specification required is. The comment from one was that the OEM one isn't an AGM Battery - jury's still out on that... So, I settled for a Bosch S5 005 which is a 63 Ah Battery and maintenance free, has a 5 year guarantee , and it's now fitted and so far so good all working. The Bosch isn't AGM either but by all accounts has technology to prevent it leaking.
Thanks for taking the time to reply. 😀

I need to change my 12v Battery, preferably to a more powerful one than the OEM Panasonic version and am having a lot of trouble identifying suitable alternatives. I believe it needs to be an AGM Battery. Has anyone changed theirs for a Bosch, Exide, whatever... and do you know what you bought?? Any assistance appreciated, thank you 👍

Folks, get some strong tape like Gorilla tape or something and cut off about 3cm of it. Then wrap it around the striker that is in the centre of the bottom boot lip when the hatch is open. Wrap it around the outermost part of the loop only. One or two turns maximum will do the trick. More than that may stop the hatch locking when you close it.

Also worth watching that left hand power dial. The engine will generally cut in when you move out of the first blue Eco section. It will also cut in when you're going over 50mph. All helps to decide how best to drive! 👍

Well that's me told! I didn't realise this at all. Fascinating. I always thought it was a bit wasted unless you drove everywhere in S+... So, I must review what the Custom Mode setting screen says!
Also, that must mean that the F-Sport feels different to drive in even Normal mode to other NX trims...- 1

Hi Andrew, it is normally only active in S+ mode, but you can make it active in Custom mode too if you wanted to use it, say in Normal mode without the increased throttle response etc. Custom mode is accessed by pressing the mode knob. HTH

Yes, I've switched. Couldn't be happier on the quietness alone in comparison with the Yokohamas. Not noticed a change in mpg though to be honest.

I did use Toyota to look at the brakes when they were binding on my IS as it was nearer than taking it to Lexus. Work done no problem and even logged in the Lexus computerised maintenance history, but it was not a service.
Lexus Chester take you car down to the Skoda workshop to do the servicing 🙃Or is it the Mazda workshop? 🤔☺️

Would Agree Rayaans.. The problem seems to be with the Wiper Arms and NOT withThe Rubbers..Surprised lexus Dealership did not Look at that...Because no one else to MY knowledge appears to have that problem with the Rubbers so One must Deduce that That the inherrant Fault Is with the Wiper arms........
Hi Ronnie, I don't disagree. At the moment Lexus dealership seems to be going by the "not heard of that before, so must be your problem" route - but if these Bosch ones go the same way, I'll be back on to them. Cheers!

I'm trying a Bosch replacement. See if I get a different result...

I don't have the 450h+ but in the 300h, doesn't the engine like to get to temperature in case it's needed suddenly? To suddenly load a freezing cold engine with the whole weight of the vehicle would be bad.... wouldn't it? 🤔

Be aware, the fault was there prior to the Lexus service and subsequent start of the warranty period. So, the fault will not be covered by the Lexus warranty.
But, IMO, it's still worth getting the car fixed, then serviced with the warranty going forward. Future piece of mind for a very complicated vehicle.
I would suggest not mentioning it at the service. Let it have the service (they won't notice it!), start the warranty, then take it back in a month or two's time to say they're not working... You're welcome. 😉

Yeah, essentially mine has split 3 times in a year. Exactly the same place each time. Not sure what to do. First one was only replaced after 3 years! At £18 a throw or something, this is going to cost a fortune if it keeps happening. 🥴

The driver's side wiper blade on my NX300h has split in exactly the same place, twice in the last 12 months. Last December I replaced the original 2019 blades with a new OEM set from Lexus Parts Direct. In July I noticed that the driver's side had already split only 6 months later. I had to order new a new one from LPD to replace it (they wouldn't offer any warranty replacement on it)... then today I've noticed the new one has split again, in exactly the same place. Any one else had this? I'm now thinking that I have some sort of problem with the wiper that is causing the blades to keep splitting. 🤔🤔🤔
To be clear, the problem is at the far right hand side of the offside (long) wiper (so the bottom of the blade sweep).

That's right. The noise test is measured by the test car passing a microphone, placed a certain distance away, at the side of the track.
All true I'm sure. Just to say though, the Cross Climates are remarkably and noticeably quiet IN the car in comparison to the original tyres.

Car Parking Sensors having issues and regularly showing error in the dashboard computer. Booked for a check-up but dealer could not find the fault. I show the photos of the error as the error is showing only certain weather/driving conditions only. Dealer Name :Denis Mahony M50, Dublin.
Read in the Lexus owner's blog that this is a notorious issue on Lexus NX300 models. Usually when we report to any dealership, they will either change it or fix it but my case the dealer was not ready to accept that there was an error and they didn't take the proof i provided and push me to take the car from them. It was very bad experience from this dealership, I contacted Lexus Ireland office, but they didn't help me but told me to deal directly with dealership.
I would like to how can I take this matter with Lexus directly, Appreciate any top fella in Lexus Email id. Car is still under relax warranty.
Thanks in advance.
A regular issue. Have experienced this a number of times but my dealer in Chester has always exchanged the ones I told them I believed were faulty. Since I applied the "vaseline trick" - see other threads including
, the problem has stopped occuring. Swapping out the sensors only temporarily fixes the problem as there's a design fault allowing water to enter. It would be nice to think they've fixed it on the newer model!

That was the same for the females that worked in the office of the company I worked at ... all the radiators were fitted with thermostatic valves set at a comfortable temperature... but they always turned either full upper or off .. couldn't understand that the thermostatic valve turned the radiators off when up to temperature or turned them on if the room temperature dropped. When you came in on a morning you always had to reset the valves again to correct setting.
Oh, common problem. Drives me mad that people don't understand thermostats. I often get my car back from servicing with the A/C set to "LO" - ie the lowest setting... (16c?) - my question would always be do you want the temperature to be 16 degrees? If not, why set it to be that!?!?!? Aaaaaggghhhh.

My left hand side mirror use to dip downward when in reverse, but since the last service, it now moves outwards, which I don't like because I cannot see the side of the car. I have tried to change it back but cannot find how.
Anyone knows how to change it, please?
Hi! Put the vehicle into reverse while stationary and adjust the mirrors to how you'd like them to be when reversing. Then put the vehicle back into P. Ensure the L/R mirror switch is pressed into either L or R positions and that should sort you out. 🙂

@rayaans - That is what I was thinking; if they cannot get me the records, I will try the compensation or return the keys in the worst case for sure. If it was a part service history vehicle I could have bought it for a much less money from a local dealer and not from the main one. Lesson learned to treat them all with caution and don't believe a thing they advertise. I was thinking about getting the extended warranty package they offered (not Lexus), now I am wondering how much of that can be trusted in the event of a claim.
Thank you.
Get it serviced by Lexus and then benefit from Lexus Relax until up to 2029 (if you have it serviced annually by Lexus).
