  1. After disconnecting the battery the windows do not work other than the drivers side. Have tried the usual procedure but nothing. Guess it could be fuse but which one as not clearly marked or and extra inline fuse maybe. Any ideas welcome
  2. Engine light an VCR light is on , code says P0037 Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit Low Bank 1 Sensor 2. No sure which one this is as there are 4 in the exhaust pipe line, 2 before the cat and 2 after? Any ideas welcome
  3. You will be surprised to hear I have not had a single problem in all the years I have had her. Have had a few body panels replaced over the years and a respray but other than that...😊 Chris
  4. Bought my TR7 37 years ago and still have it, great fun.
  5. Does anybody know if any of the Toyota Roof Bar end covers fit the RX300?
  6. UPDATE I have now changed the coil overs to the type with adjustable dampeners (direct from Maxspeedingrods) and the ride is far superior. The fixed dampeners give a pretty hard ride in comparison. Chris
  7. Had a go at removing the 60amp fuse, not easy as I think they have a retaining bolt? and not obvious how to get to that. The fuse box must come apart but looks like you have to remove it from the car to do so. So far failed. Also I have now reduced the pre tension on the coils to zero but I am finding the suspension very hard giving a very bumpy ride a long way short of the original, Did you make any other adjustments? Chris
  8. From ground to top of wheel arch the car is sitting at 31 inches all round. Chris
  9. Mike Completed conversion, I have reducing the spring tension by 20mm, still a fairly hard ride, What did you reduce the tension by? Chris
  10. Mike Did you fit new shorter drop links for the anti roll bars as the brackets for them on the new units are in a different place? Or did you manage somehow to refit old ones? Thanks Chris
  11. Mike Just swopping the top plates over but have found the fixing screw arrangement is different between the two dampeners. The top plate fixes to a smaller plate underneath see pic so will need to swop these over as well but I see no way of removing them? They appear to be pressed onto a ball joint. Any ideas? Thanks Chris
  12. Mike ok, thanks for the advice but am I correct in saying use the longer units on the front? Chris
  13. Hi Mike Got the coil overs and just starting the job. You have used the longer units on the front instead of the back requiring the swopping of the top plate, correct? As you have said I have found all the top mounting holes need elongating the front ones quite a lot. Also on the rear bottom mounting plate holes are a long way apart which I plan to re-drill a new hole in the plate, is that what you did? Thanks Chris
  14. Mike Thanks, I have found the ones with the part number you mention £177.99 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Coilover-Spring-Shock-Struts-for-Toyota-Camry-1992-2001-Solara-Avalon-1999-2003/353124049365?hash=item5237d561d5:g:-0YAAOSwO6hdzknD I think I understand you correctly re swapping the dampers. The units come all complete so you would need to remove the top plate and spring and then switch the damper from front to rear, is that correct?? I assume adjustable ones could be fitted without swapping dampers around??, seems to be various ones available, could you help with identifying which ones? Many thanks Chris
  15. Mike Thanks for the info, really appreciate it. I have tried the numbers on the MaxSpeeding Rods web site but are not recognised. Did to get them direct from them or of a different web site? You mention coming from Poland? I think I understand you correctly re swapping the dampers. The units come all complete so you would need to remove the top plate and spring and then switch the damper from front to rear. or but the adjustable model which would not require this to be done? Regards Chris
  16. That is really helpful, I need to replace all of mine on the same model. Would you have the product code for the ones you purchased form Max Speeding? Regards Chris
  17. Does anybody know where i can get the conversion kit at a reasonable price. Any fitting problems?
  18. Does anybody know how to bring up faults on the display screen (RX300 2003) I think you have to press a couple of buttons together?
  19. Finally found the leak at the top of the strut just behind the top of the boot so I am guessing that the air is leaking between the boot and the metal. Both sides are leaking at the same point. I don't know if these can be repaired, and ideas? Has anybody got drawings of the assembly?
  20. Thanks for the info, yes TR7 owner still, Silver drophead X reg had it for 35 years.
  21. Checked all the connections an unable to find a leak. As both front struts go down evenly I suspect it may be leaking from an air release valve but where is it? Also found what looks like an air tank half way down the car but unable to see it purpose?
  22. Had it into Lexus the other day for assessment but all they could come up with was to replace both front struts with no guarantee of solving the problem. I don't think they tried very hard to find the leak so will try the spray liquid on all the pipes. Would be useful for have a pipe layout plan if anybody has got such a thing.
  23. My front suspension deflates overnight on both sides evenly and then pumps up when I start the car in the morning. The rear retains the air OK. During driving I occasionally hear the compressor kick in so I am guessing there is an air leak somewhere, but where? As the front deflates evenly it would not suggest the struts themselves. Any ideas? RX300 2003 second generation.
