  1. The audio amplifier (fitted in the boot) on my 2012 450h has gone down. After several hours work and much cursing I have managed to get it out of the car, so now know that it is a Pioneer amp 86100-48220. As these are over £800 to buy from Lexus, and >£300 used, I would naturally like to get it repaired. Does anyone have a wiring diagram and/or terminal pin-out, or know of car audio repairers that specialise in Lexus? Many thanks, David
  2. Jagman, thank you very much! I should have guessed that the manual was written with LHD vehicles in mind. Lesson learned.
  3. Thanks for the replies, and sorry for the delay in response. This is driving me properly mad. I have contorted myself as recommended, pulled up the carpet and removed the local trim. But I cannot find the fuse box! See photos showing the driver's side footwell, looking upwards from the pedal area. Any more ideas? Thanks David
  4. The manual for my RX450H 2012 says there is a fuse box low down below the steering wheel on the driver's side - there is even a photograph of it. But on my car there is no such fuse box, as far as I can see. Am I just not looking hard enough, or is this fuse box located elsewhere? I need to check one of the fuses in it. There are two others fuse boxes under the bonnet, exactly as described in the manual.
  5. It’s the same in all modes. I can change modes as normal, but there is never any sound, whatever I am trying to do.
  6. All of a sudden, there is no sound coming from my audio system in any mode (RX450 2012). There are no fault indications, and all the controls work as expected and show correct results on the screen, except that when turning the volume control knob there is no on-screen tell-back. No sound from the satnav either. My first thought was that I had somehow muted the sound with a hitherto unknown control - but I don't think I have. Any advice on where to start fault-finding? Thanks for any help. David
  7. My 2012 RX450H came with a detachable Lexus towball. I'm familiar with detachable towballs, though never had a Lexus one before. Anyway, it fitted OK and locked on. However, now it won't come off. The lock turns OK, but then it's impossible to rotate the knob clockwise to the removal position (step 16 of the owner's manual). I've saturated everything in WD40 in the hope that it was just a bit seized up, but no luck. Anyone had a similar problem and / or got any advice on how to get the thing off again? David
  8. I've just got my hands on a 2012 RX450H and wondered is anyone could answer a couple of questions: 1. Are there any nav system software updates available and are they worth having in terms of new features or reliability? 2. The DAB is lovely and all, but I find it strange that the name of the current programme / item playing isn't displayed, just the station name. Is there any way of getting this to display? Same question for FM. My cheapo Mazda 2 does, for goodness sake! David
