  1. @DamianLEXThat's come across as a bit of a bad tasting message. There are a lot of scams going around, if you saw he was on here you could of directly messaged him through LOC ?
  2. I wouldn't do it. There's no reason why he can't purchase the car first, and do all that after, when he owns it. At least to my mind anyway.
  3. I'm going to guess that one of them isn't a Harman Kardon stereo. Are they both DAB ?
  4. @Rob RCF Lotus were going to use the ISF spec 2UR-GSE in the proposed Esprit, maybe with a supercharger on top too. Unfortunately it got canned. There's currently one of the 2UR engines Lotus ordered for sale on eBay
  5. I didn't get an alignment after they were installed. Steering was spot on and no inner tyre wear anymore
  6. I believe so. I'm going to recommend you specify GSF ones just because that's what I've got and I know they work. I can't speak for RCF ones
  7. GSF 0 offset bushes. I have them on mine, made a big difference over the old worn bushes. Make sure you get 0 offset ones
  8. Have you checked all the fuses ? Any lights on the dash ? Are the tyre pressures low ? Sometimes the basics get overlooked when investigating faults
  9. If it's the issue where it feels like theres a notch when moving the wheel off centre at motorway speed or locks up/feels stiff after a long turn. It's either a new rack or new steering ECU to resolve it. There's a TSB for this state side. Sometimes a new steering ecu or refresh of it leads to resolve. From reading around on forums it's a funny issue that's never truly been pinpointed. Some have changed the ecu and it has fixed it, others have had the rack changed at Lexus which has fixed the issue
  10. It could be the brake booster check valve is not operating as it should be. It's documented on the ISF. Could be a similar set up on the GSF maybe ?
  11. I can fit behind my driving position perfectly fine in my ISF, I'm 6ft. RCF uses the 2nd Gen IS Convertible mid section from memory.
  12. I've seen it, went to collect a car for a family member from there last month, the owner had a smile on his face when we turned up in my car and we had some nice conversations. It's a tidy example from what I could see looking around the outside and inside. The staff there were fantastic to deal with. It might need a waterpump from conversations with the owner of Sarah Cox cars. Having seen it in person, I'm surprised it hasn't sold yet. I didn't ask about the service history.
  13. @B1RMA echoing the above, I'd of thought that would be covered under relax warranty being as every RC F is under 10 years old and yours has less than 100,000 miles on it. Does your RC F not qualify for it, for some reason ?
  14. That's what I could see as well. The petrol smell could also be your boot vents. Mine looked like this when I changed them last month. They'd gone hard and had shrunk. The drivers side had almost fallen off, the one on the far right is new for comparison.
  15. @Jon Dee I have an 08 ISF. Early cars like mine are undersprung and overdamped which causes a firm ride. 2013-2014 model suspension were the best OEM and they do bolt onto earlier cars, the rear bump stops will need changing though. Interesting reading your thoughts on the HKS suspension. Other F owners rate the HKS Hypermax S/X suspension highly in terms of comfort whilst keeping the body stable
  16. @NothernDan my drivers side manifold failed not long after I purchased mine 4 years ago. It ticked on cold start, the give away was that once the CAT heat cycle was completed it got slightly quieter. Then when driving from cold with the window down, the tick increased in frequency with the engine rpm, then as it got warmer it required more throttle to make it tick eventually it sealed once hot. This was all finally confirmed when I borrowed a friend's borescope and saw soot (carbon deposits) on the heat shield around the manifold.
  17. @NothernDan no way ! What have you decided to swap it for mate ?
  18. @Rob RCF that looks lovely mate. Look forward to seeing it at a future meet up
  19. Anything can happen including mistakes or human intervention. It's worth a shot having the diff fluid changed and making sure the correct one is used. Last time my ISF went in for a service at the local dealership, the service department couldn't even tell me what had been done to my car. In my view Standards are slipping at certain dealerships and when they want £150 an hour labour charge, a certain level of care and attention is expected and should be achieved.
  20. @FishShapedCar does it only skip when turning tight in 1 direction ? Or does the offside do it when turning the other way ?
  21. @BenH22 Awesome !! Look forward to seeing the progress and in the flesh at a future meet.
  22. I recommend the old military road over the Cairngorms. Put those 275 tyres and PPE manifolds to good use. It was great to end our NC500 trip with that route
