  1. Many thanks for the tips guys! I wouldn't mind but I swear these stains came after I used the leather wipes Lexus left in the car when I picked it up! These included a stain on the upright part of the front passenger seat. My wife doesn't usually wear makeup on her back! 😆
  2. Quick question - has anyone recently had a problem with ladies foundation makeup staining the black vinyl seats on their NX 300 - leaving a kind of faint white deposit ?
  3. Hi all, I've had my NX300 since January but thanks to lockdown, I 've only done about 3k miles - still enough to give a verdict on fuel consumption. In short - if you like driving speedily with your foot constantly on the gas, don't buy this car! If however, economy is your goal then and you don't mind speed merchants queuing up behind you I've been employing techniques which are usually getting me over 40mpg. Just done a 400 mile round trip and got 42.9 mpg with no real difference between urban and town motoring, which I thought was great! Techniques as follows: 1. Drive in Eco mode 2. Little and often on the gas 3. Use cruise as much as possible 4. Stick to speed limits (and be amazed that most people don't) I swapped my Mercedes CLS for this car and originally was wringing my hands at losing the 55mpg it gave me. However that dropped considerably in town, unlike the Lexus so I now can't be certain that I'm really losing out. Appreciate this driving style might not be to everyone's taste! Phil
  4. philipedwardsone@gmail.com Hi David. My local Lexus dealer tells me that they've never tried to retrofit a camera but you can retrofit sensors - rough cost £1,400! I think not!. Will just have to keep on guessing where the front is. Phil
  5. Thanks for all the advice guys! I plan to keep this car for a long long time hence thinking about covers. Spent a load of cash on this motor so I want to preserve its newness as long as poss! Main potential area of wear seems to be right hand side of drivers seat (in UK) where driver gets in and out. Will see how things go.
  6. Hmmmm.. What does anyone else think? Am I terribly old fashioned?
  7. Help! Alas zéro replies to my last post re seat covers suitable for Lexus NX heated seats. Has no-one in the forum ever fitted seat covers to their NX? No side air bags on mine. Just trying to protect my pristine seats but no help from Lexus and proving very tricky to find covers which will cope with the heat! Thanks
  8. A mixture of kids and dogs looks set to mess up the pristine seats on my NX. Can anyone recommend quality seat covers which can cope with heated seats?
  9. Greetings all! Glad to have joined the club as the proud owner of a 2019 NX Sport, an ex-lease car with 12k on the clock. After several “full and frank” discussions with my other half on whether or not we actually needed a new car, (we had a 2016 Merc CLA, which was a good motor) I managed to persuade her. I really fancied the new Toyota Rav 4 and got to test drive one but thought I’d try the Lexus for comparison. I was sold immediately, seemed somehow to be a notch above. Miss the front and rear sensors and the low fuel consumption on the Merc but not much else. The NX is not a car for driving really fast but it’s packed full of amazing tech. I’ve had to change my driving style quite a bit to match the hybrid tech but I love driving it. Good job because I’m under orders never to buy another car!
