  1. Well Done Rabster - looking great mate :D Told it wasn't hard to wire in for a man of your talents :P lol what you trying to say? I think he is saying the IS200 is quite slow.........
  2. Super Chris to the rescue it seems!! Thanks mate :) Any idea how much paint it normally takes to do 4 18" alloys?
  3. Hi guys, I recently saw a paint effect on some alloys that I really liked the look of. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to achieve the look? I would like a colour like this: I asked a local powder coating place and they don't seem to do it, so maybe a paint is available to match the effect? I am looking to refurb my alloys to this so called shadow chrome or smoke effect to give them a fresher look. We have many arty people on here so was hoping someone can advise how close I could get. Thanks, Anees :)
  4. I need some new tyres too and I would do that but I am selling the alloys so it looks better selling alloys with low thread tyres then bald ones, otherwise I'd be trying to get the back end out on an empty car park! LOL Anees :)
  5. That is hideous and to quote my mate Nads at Auto-Serve "I bet it fits like a glove on a foot!"
  6. Well Done on the supercharger :) If its of any help I got some hoses and very strong T clips from here: http://www.auto-performance.co.uk/ They are based in Wakefield but obviously can deliver too. The items are top quality and they make their own. When I visited they were really really helpful and with my car running 1.2bar+ not had any issues with leaks etc since. The price I thought was good too for a quality product and they gave me a discount when I mentioned I was a car club member. :) Anees
  7. Currently the overall best tyres are: Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetric Verdestein Ultrac Sessanta Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 based on overall magazine reviews and forums. The BMW owners really rate the Falken FK-452 tyres too. They are much cheaper then the brands previously mentioned yet offer almost similar performance. :)
  8. Nice one, just found a set on fleabay for a couple of quid. Thanks to everyone for their help on this one. I love this forum! :D Anees, don't worry about it mate, now sorted. Glad your sorted mate :)
  9. Welcome back Wozza! Not been the same without you :D
  10. That would be great Anees. I can send you money for payment via PayPal instantly. If you do find one, just let me know the sale & postage costs. You are a star! Rob - thanks for the tip :) No.......... I wouldn't charge you for it. Thats what this club is all about. :)
  11. Drilling could be fun too, no harm in doing both! :winky: Now I'm intrigued to know what your hiding.............
  12. Yeah yeah............... another one obsessed with his post count....... @TigerFish - Glad that all ended well. Don't think your headgaskit change will have affected it do you?
  13. The other option is to use a power drill and drill through the platters - but I prefer the hammer - its more exercise :P
  14. My idea of therapy. 1. Get your hard drives 2. Go into a quiet room where you won't be disturbed. 3. Think of the stresses and strains of the day 4. Pick up lump hammer/hammer 5. Hit hard drives repeated until they are totally damaged Repeat 4 an 5 until satisfied :)
  15. I had 4 when I got my set of TTE wheels. I have one for myself, one is kept at my mates garage and not sure where the others are. I'll see if I can find it - no promises however. Anees :)
  16. I found it strange that there was no laughter like in the older episodes which must have some kind of laugher track put in afterwards. The first episode was OK, but I thought the second one was pretty good. Hopefully the third one is even better. :)
  17. WOW!! Car is looking stunning Chris!! :D :D If you don't mind me asking, how did you get night pictures like you have? Every time I try it, I put my camera in night mode and I get blurry pics, or I try playing with the flash and I really dark rubbish pics. I just have a normal Samsung digital camera (D103). I assume you have a better camera (and obviously are better then me at taking pics!) Sorry for going abit off topic.
  18. Well Done! Glad to see you are pleased! Must be like having a new car!! Anees :)
  19. I read the same thing too.... Luxury EXports to US :)
  20. as well as bmwland above, you have forum.evotechnik.net :D
  21. Hope you can help with this Tyger. I offer support for a site that actually uses Mac's almost exclusively. They unfortunetly now have the need for their machines to communicate with a new Windows Server 2008 AD Domain which has been brought in (council place) The migration job has been done by outside contractors and because the site has a wide range of Mac products they have only migrated machines running OSX 10.5 to the new AD domain. They said that: OSX 10.1 - 10.2 just won't work OSX 10.3 - only limited and apparently very timeconsuming to do. OSX 10.4 - only limited and apparently very timeconsuming to do. OSX 10.5 - works ok So basically around 70% of the machines can not fully become clients of the domain. Have you any tips on what I could do to try and get the OSX 10.3/4 machines working (mostly MacMinis and ibook G4) on the domain. Where they telling me the truth about OSX 10.1 - 10.4 or did they just want to get home early? Thanks :)
  22. Rabster - personally I find alot of the machines bought from the likes of HP/Dell/Acer (especially)/Sony have so much rubbish running in the back ground that its almost as if the manufacturers deliberately cripple the machines to being with!! I would wipe it clean and just have Vista on with your drivers. Then just install the software you need. Job Done and it should run nicely. To the guys suggesting buy a Mac - that would have been an option while the original poster was looking and researching into a machine; no point pointing it out now when he has already spent his hard earned money. :P @Tyger - that cornflicker link scares me. Hope i have a quiet day at work tomorrow!!
  23. Keep up Anees, you must be going on to many forums :D saying that, have you just found an old mate of mine on the Honda S2000 forums Chris is always doing things to his car and I had thought he was already supercharged up. Who is this mate of yours? Does he run a tuning company in Essex?
  24. Well Done Chris! :D Although I must admit I thought you already had one......
