Hi there. Can anyone help a damsel in distress? There is a very strange noise which seems to come from under the car, or the back of the dashborad, when the engine is cold, when it is revved up or when you pull away in first gear. It is very hard to describe this noise but it sounds like a crunching/squelching, a bit like driving over gravel. Doesn't last very long, but is quite loud. When I first heard it a few weeks ago I thought there was a twig stuck under the car, but there wasn't. You can't hear it under the bonnet when it happens, we have already checked that one.
Come on boys any ideas????
Can I ask another question?? Is is possible to check the condition of the cambelt without removing half of the engine?
Thanks :winky:
