  1. Hi Leigh. Willydoit posted an excellent fix for this problem back in 2015 on this forum. Search "volume buttons". It worked for me! Good luck
  2. Hi Boersma, I have a 2007 SC with a completely b------d CD player. Interested in your radio/CD if it's the facelift one with 2 main plugs at the back.
  3. I bought an OBD reader as suggested and it has come up with one error code - P0345 (camshaft position sensor A circuit bank 2). The engine has not had any recent garage work and appears to be running smoothly. Does this change my focus from the reluctor rings? - and more importantly should I be driving the car? Am I likely to be doing damage? As always your advice would be very welcome.
  4. Thank you Bob and Neil. I am very reassured by your analyses and will get those codes read asap. Your comments on the reluctor rings may be pertinent as I've recently noticed a hint of ABS "judder" on gentle braking just before stopping. The last thing I need at the moment is 'sympathetic' warning lights!!
  5. I'd be grateful for some advice please. I have a 2007 Sc430 which was running perfectly until this morning (115k). On starting today the VSC, TRC and engine lights stay on with the VSC flashing slowly. Engine seems to be running smoothly and no other obvious faults. Is there a pattern to this combination which points to the problem? Safe to drive? Am I looking at a trip to the computer wizards or is their an easy fix? Apologies if this has been covered before.
  6. Adam, please could you let me know what happened to the aerial I paid for but has never arrived.
  7. Hi Adam Any news on the aerial tracking etc? I’ve WhatsApp the number you sent but doesn’t show it’s been read. Checked the monies have been transferred.
  8. A common problem- if it’s intermittent then a good dose of lubricant (WD40?) behind the glass followed a while later by moving the mirror through its full range up/down and side/side.
  9. Hi Adam, I’m looking for a working aerial - my toothed plastic drive snapped. Hoping your rear quarter damage was nearside!
  10. I have a failed offside DRL/sidelight strip on my RX 450h Advance 2014. Near side works perfectly. All the plugs appear to be in place. Is this fixable or will I need a new headlight! Does anyone have any thoughts on Vland replacement headlights as a reasonable cost option? Many thanks
  11. Thank you all for your comments. I appreciate the safety aspect but happy to be without until I need new tyres! It is the TPMS light and the plugs are the white and blue under the radio. Am I missing something? Should I disconnect the battery for a ‘hard’ reset? - tyres still at good and steady pressure.
  12. I have a TPMS light flashing then continually on with my 2007 SC. Tyre pressures are good and steady. I’ve disconnected the 2 plugs under the radio. The light does NOT now come on with ignition but after starting the engine it flashes and then is solid. I don’t have any fancy OBD or tech gadgets. Is there any way of firstly disabling this and secondly sorting - cheaply! I appreciate thre have been a number of posts re this but I can’t find a clear answer. Any help would be much appreciated.
  13. I’m confused by the A5/B5 or C3 etc ratings for the oil needed in my 2007 SC430. I understand the oil should be fully synthetic 5w-30 but does the rest really matter? Advice please
  14. Last year I bought the ones in your first picture. Arrived quickly, easy to fit and work perfectly. I’d definitely recommend.
  15. Hi Richard It would be worth contacting the advertisers of ‘breaking’ SC430s on eBay. My ashtray was broken and I negotiated a replacement for £30 - the small part was nowhere to be found! Make sure the ashtray is closed when replacing the console or you’ll be looking for another one very soon! Good luck
  16. I dropped the height by about 3cms - not outrageous but with standard wheels/tyres it makes the arches look filled. To access the ride adjusters at the rear , I cut 2 small holes in the boot carpet over the adjusting screws and then used colour matched plugs to cover the holes. Good luck - and enjoy!
  17. Two of the standard shock absorbers on my SC were in a sorry state when I bought the car last year. I replaced all 4 with MeisterR coilovers after researching quality v cost. I went for UK quality. They have transformed the handling - and are easily adjustable. Highly recommended for £799! (I have no affiliation with the company - just a very satisfied customer).
  18. Hi Phil. Did you get any further with your suspension? I have recently become the owner of a dark blue/ivory interior 2007 SC which had serious suspension problems. I chose the option of MeisterR coilovers and they have transformed the car. It is now a real pleasure to drive - and I can tinker with settings if needed! Recommended.
  19. Hi. I had a similar problem with my SC which had been unused for a while before I bought it last summer. A liberal dosing of WD 40 between mirror and its bracket did the trick. Good luck - and enjoy
  20. A 5 year old thread but I’m new to the forum and finding my way round my recently acquired 2007 SC. A brilliant fix for a frustrating problem. Worked first time. Many thanks ......... how did you get to know about this fix - is there a secret bible of really weird manoeuvres? Many thanks again
