  1. Cheers mate, I looked on Ebay UK...never thought of looking on any of their other sites
  2. My nearside front foglight has packed up, so I unbolted it (one of the bolts fell inside the front bumper, probably never to be seen again) but couldn't get the bulb out because the casing was covered in crap picked up off the road. I cleaned it all up but still can't get the bulb housing off, I even tried some gentle help from a set of water-pump pliers....but no use. I went into Lexus Ipswich today to get a price for a new one, and even with the discount they were talking about £144! Does anyone know where I can get one any cheaper, or even a used one? I don't mind paying for quality, but I thought their price was a total ***** take.
  3. I wasn't sure which to go for, but after test driving both I opted for the auto. For the driving I do day to day the auto is far smoother, and it's surprisingly economical (for an IS200) - I get around 420 miles out of a tank.
  4. To be honest I haven't sat in the back yet, too busy driving B)
  5. On my Is200 SE auto I get just under 400 miles from a full tank. Last fill up gave me 380 miles, but much of that was hammering the car and getting stuck in traffic. After reading other peoples' mpg I'm thinking I'm pretty lucky. Oh, and the car seems to run the same whether I fill up with Optimax/BP Ultimate or regular unleaded
  6. I know the back is more spacious than my Clio was, but I prefer a bit more space than that....that's why we bought a kingsize bed ;)
  7. I was supposed to collect my IS200 SE last Monday, but Lexus Ipswich called a few days before and said that the RAC guy had failed it as it had five stone-chips on the bonnet. So they sent it to the bodyshop and blew in the bonnet and re-sprayed the front bumper. So I finally got the car on Friday afternoon, and it has to be the smoothest car I've ever driven (except my old bosses' LS400). I love it to bits, and my girlfriend likes it too :)
  8. Thanks for the warm welcome guys :) The Lex is a '99 (V) IS200 SE auto in Platinum Ice. I had originally planned to keep it standard, but once I discovered this board I quickly changed my mind B)
  9. Yeah, when I test drove the IS200 it didn't sound like it was going to fall apart! Seriously, for a seven month old car I've had so many problems with the Renault, and their dealer network is a joke....they're just not interested once they've sold you the car
  10. I'm about to join that lucky group known as Lexus owners. After seven months of owning possibly the world's worst built car (Renault Clio 172) I'm picking up an IS200 SE auto next Monday.....and I can't wait! I'm buying it from Lexus Ipswich, who so far seem to be the nicest people I've ever met in the motor trade.
