  1. Blue Peter stylee "Double sided sticky tape" will keep the other suggestions to hand. Don’t want to lose the part!
  2. What’s the best way to permanently fix this, it has dropped down but remains attached. Apparently NOT bolted on but fixed with sealant. Anyone way have a tried and tested solution? Temporarily, what tape can I use that’s strong enough but doesn’t ruin paint work to hold it in place? thanks marty
  3. Finally got a chance to fit the dog guard. Very reassuring to know the dogs can’t clamber over. Thanks again
  4. Finally got round to fitting the brodit holder, cannibalised the adapter from the old Mercedes. Very easy to fit and doesn’t obscure vents etc
  5. Well i was belting up and down in an 2005 e320 avantgarde estate, it ate the miles and sadly ran it in to the ground with 140K on it. held off purchasing a replacement car to ferry two passengers and 3 dogs down to Spain. Now with the RX and sadly down to just two dogs, hopefully it will be bliss.
  6. Nice, love driving through Europe, can't wait for the turn in the RX, alas it will be next summer but might try and sneak a trip over Easter if the PET scheme is still in place.
  7. Been a regular driver to Spain through France via Eurotunnel since 2015 and have found these resources invaluable when it comes to finding best fuel stops: when I was driving a diesel, the lowest cost for diesel I achieved was 91 cents/litre! Girona area France https://www.prix-carburants.gouv.fr Spain https://geoportalgasolineras.es/#/Inicio for suggested routes down to France: https://about-france.com/tourism/no-tolls-routes.htm for suggested routes down to Spain: https://about-spain.net/travel/no-tolls.htm https://about-france.com/tourism/no-tolls-routes.htm
  8. Hoping to return to driving in Europe next year, do I still need to use headlamp deflectors or is there a mechanical switch/lever to realign the lights ?
  9. Thanks for alll the suggestions, I plumped for a brand I had used in my old Mercedes e320 estate, brodit, https://www.amazon.co.uk/Brodit-ProClip-634710-Console-Mount-Lexus-black/dp/B006GOL8PA?pd_rd_w=y4UiT&pf_rd_p=90c1abfe-012d-40f1-ad17-398d96c0f8ff&pf_rd_r=1KJ8W1KFMTC8K28JA0SR&pd_rd_r=07de434c-c7e3-4b15-841d-dd168791f5d8&pd_rd_wg=mTkV7&pd_rd_i=B006GOL8PA&ref_=pd_bap_d_rp_1_1_t
  10. hi Ken definitely interested in purchasing it Where are you? thanks
  11. Hi Ken have two basset hounds, used to have three. One has travelled in the back before, the other one is a bit of a baby even though 10 years old. Been used to being safe behind the driver seats, with windows etc.
  12. Hi ken definitely interested. Can this be fitted directly the front seats too? Thanks marty
  13. I thought might have to resort to this, wondering if it’s worth getting a wired in cable to avoid trailing wires unless mount the adapter around the centre console area, cd mount etc and use the 12v point as you mentioned.
  14. Can anyone recommend a dog guard that extends and fits from rear passenger footwell to ceiling. Essentially fitted behind front seats, preventing access to front seats with the rear seats folded down. I’m looking at this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bettacare-Deluxe-Fit-Any-Barrier/dp/B07RRTW41H
  15. Where do you run the usb charging cable, sadly iPhone 6 Plus has shocking battery life?
  16. Can anyone recommend a car phone holder for a 2013 rx450 please, with pics if possible. Phone will have Sat Nav duties. Thanks
