  1. Maybe the lockdown is getting to me but I'm really keen to find out if Rich chases down this rattle. Don't leave us hanging ! I need to get out more.
  2. Autoglym, Poorboys, Chemical Guys, Auto Finesse and Valet Pro all good. Everyone has their own favourite. As I'm sure you know leather needs cleaning and then conditioning. For my leather I've been using products from these people https://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/leather-care-products I've just done a deep clean on my recently purchased LS460 which was filty. I watched this guy and learnt quite a bit on cleaning/detailing. The soft bristle "drill brush" brought my mats and carpets up amazingly.
  3. Hi everyone, recently bought by first Lexus, an LS460. With working from home not doing many miles now so fancied a V8 for a change. Was looking at 400's and 430's. Just missed a nice 400 in Diss because I hesitated so jumped on this 460 when it came up. 62K miles, 1 owner, full Lexus history and great condition if a little filthy but had a nice weekend really going to town on it, bodywork, leather, carpets, etc. The only faults were the boot release on the boot itself but there are 3 other ways to open the boot so I'm going to leave that. Had a TPMS fault but a local tyre place diagnosed and fitted a new one for £80 so all is good now. First impressions - Love the quiet and smoothness, it's very quick but you don't feel it until you reach the cornor and then you realise you're doing 60 when you should be at 40 so need to recalibrate my brain. Gearbox is quick enough and smooth. The Mark Levinson stereo is fine but not amazing. The near 500 page manual is pretty poor but managed to learn most functions that I need. I've owned many cars over the years but for a 14 year old car it does feel very fresh and everything had stood up very well. I was thinking of V8 Mercedes but I knew this would be a money pit so went for Lexus to test out their famed reliability and so far very impressed. Looking forward to contibuting and learning from the forum. Here's a few pics after some in depth cleaning.
