What Car range test
Kevin Williams replied to John Adams's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
An interesting article John. https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/markets/article-13204529/As-Chinas-BYD-floods-Europe-cheap-electric-cars-old-fashioned-tariffs-slam-brakes.html?ico=mol_desktop_home-newtab&molReferrerUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailymail.co.uk%2Fhome%2Findex.html&_ga=2.148594679.1593155482.1709886205-1301590612.1699347836&_gl=1*1mc4xu5*_ga*MTMwMTU5MDYxMi4xNjk5MzQ3ODM2*_ga_XE0XLFFF16*MTcxMDY2MDk1My40MDIuMS4xNzEwNjYyMTQ1LjAuMC4w -
Rz 450e range and miles per kWh?
Kevin Williams replied to Blancy1's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
Rachel, I agree with John. Buying one of the used RZ’s with the update and a huge discount is a no brainer…! I see that Lexus Scotland have a few in the £40,000’s… You should get some more discount…! I have bought several cars from Eastern Western in Scotland. Two Mercedes, three BMW’s, and my Lexus LC500 Convertible were delivered to me to Cornwall from Scotland… I didn’t view any of them before I paid for them… I just got photos and videos... I did have a £5k deposit with them for an RZ in September 2022. I got my deposit back because my wife unfortunately can’t come out with me unless we use our VW Caddy WAV. If I could take my wife out in another vehicle. It would be one of the current used RZ’s. And I would have one in my garage… I regularly read posts on the Lexus Owner’s Forum… And from what I have read. The update has sorted the range issue for the various owners… -

I don't think that Andrew Walker has read about the RZ on this forum...? He obviously doesn't own one... Has he been paid in some way by Lexus...! I was one of the lucky ones that changed my mind and got my £5,000 back. ALL the other different Lexus cars read ok/good on this forum. Reading about the RZ makes me feel totally gobsmacked. I agree with John. The RZ shouldn't have a Lexus name... -
Hello again, no the garage I endorsed JPS auto services is the garage that saved me and who will without doubt keep the old car running long after I’ve gone. They are so proactive in all aspects , there only drawback is the waiting time as they are over whelmed with customers with very expensive performance and luxury cars. The owner actually rally’s and by chance uses the LS 400 engine as he says, they are unbreakable and we have tried in our rallying . I’ll try to put some photographs on here . Be great to see some photos of the car thats rallied with an LS 400 engine. Is there a website/Facebook for JPS auto services...? Albeit I am in Cornwall. The garage that saved you sounds to be very interesting...

From Wikipedia... On May 15, 2023 Tarbuck was involved in a series of driving offences. He caused damage to vehicles while driving in Coombe Gardens, Kingston-Upon-Thames near his home. According to court documents he pleaded guilty to a series of driving offences committed near his south-west London home. The incident is reported to have occurred a few days after his sister’s funeral. He admitted driving a mechanically propelled vehicle without due care and attention, failing to stop and to give his name and address after a road accident, and failing to report an accident.[15] He should have definitely been banned... And not able to drive again until DVLA Swansea allow... My wife was stopped from driving because of her MS. She never ever drove like he did on 15th May...!!!

Agreed. His licence should have been taken away. He should attend a driving examination. Which he would probably fail... He should use taxi's. He can afford to have his own taxi and driver... Or better still employ someone to drive him. Before he kills someone...

Taking the plunge in to EV
Kevin Williams replied to ivancrx's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
John, I am truly shocked to read your post. I never thought I would read a post like yours, about any Lexus car… I will also be careful what I write… I was very lucky to ask for my £5,000 back in December 2022. I asked for it back because of personal reasons… I thought the new RZ would be another great Lexus. I think that all owners of the new RZ have been shafted by Lexus and their Lexus dealers. To see that there are 58 RZ’s on Autotrader is astonishing. It is difficult to read some of the many posts on the Forum about the RZ. The two LS 400’s that I had were the best cars I have ever had, and I have had several cars… The two LC 500’s were also great cars… My son when he was home, would always clean my LS 400’s because I would regularly drive them down into my quarries, and they were very dirty…! -

Taking the plunge in to EV
Kevin Williams replied to ivancrx's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
I would have bought one John. My main car is now a VW Caddy WAV. My boss (as you have called your good lady!) Unfortunately can only go out in our VW Caddy… If Lexus did a WAV. I would have bought one… Yes we all live by our mistakes. My biggest one was learning to fly a helicopter and buying one… You cant turn the clock back…! -

Blimey...!!! By the end of the year you will be able to buy a low mileage Takumi for 50 grand...??? Or am I being stupid...? Being an ex LS400, LS430, SC430 and LC500 Coupe and Convertible owner. I find many of the posts about the RZ extraordinary... RZ_Aug_22.pdf -
I also have a Zappi. I have had no problems with it. My local installer is fitting a Zappi for my next door neighbour in a couple of weeks. I think my Zappi must be into my wifi because its received a couple of updates... Zappi Datasheet.pdf

Many of these posts are very interesting and good to read… Many have an interesting perspective, and include some facts, if they are provable. That I, and other members, were not aware of... It would be a very interesting post from John Williams (Roy of the Rovers). A very much missed member of this Forum. If he was still a member… And he added a post to this topic…? I do wonder what John would have said… As Linas said in his post when we learned the very sad news in March… John has always been the person who brought the sense of calmness and common sense into any discussion, was sincerely respected and will be greatly missed in the forum. -

For info Ivan. I bought my LC 500 Convertible from Lexus Edinburgh... They are a great independent car dealer to buy a car from... I have bought several cars from Eastern Western Motor Group. They have all been delivered to me in Cornwall... -
A Favourable UK Review
Kevin Williams replied to wivenhoe's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
Bob, Genesis, have no doubt improved since June/July because there were numerous problems with their cars, and their people…! I ordered a GV60, which was ‘finally’ delivered on 30th June. I rejected the car before it came off the trailer… I am happy to PM you the reasons…? I was a member of the GV60 Facebook Group, and I read about another member who was having serious problems with her GV60. I obtained an email address of the lady that lives in Northumberland. I exchanged several emails with her, and was totally gobsmacked to read what she was experiencing with her car and some of the people that work/ed for Genesis, including their MD… If you want to communicate with the lady. I am happy to ask her if she is happy to answer emails from you… This lady and her husband have had several different electric cars… If you would like to hear from her direct. Please let me have your email by PM…? You can ask the above question from this lady…? -

Britain's leading lithium hub in Cornwall...
Kevin Williams replied to Kevin Williams's topic in Lexus Owners Club Lounge
I totally agree Rowley and David. I have lived and worked in Cornwall since 1985. And have noticed how the lovely County has changed. Cornwall Council has agreed, subject to the legislation being passed, for an additional council tax premium for second home owners from April 2024. April 2024 is more than 10 years too late. But I would be surprised if it makes any difference. Many homes in Cornwall are the 2nd, 3rd or 4th home owned by some people… I am finishing building a new property adjacent to where I live. I won’t be selling it to anyone that wants to use it as a holiday home… -

I would imagine that only a few Forum members have been to St Austell. Because it's No 1 at the end of this video...! Fortunately I live at Carlyon Bay... -

The selected few will be the shareholders who might have to wait several years for a Dividend... For those that have never been to the St Austell area of Cornwall. I thought I would add this interesting article about the history of China Clay in Cornwall… https://www.cornwalls.co.uk/history/industrial/china_clay.htm I part owned and operating two hardstone quarries in East Cornwall from 1985 to 2002. I have seen how the old China Clay sites are no longer so visible, because of planning conditions that were/are being complied with…
