  1. Renewed mine in June about same price
  2. I have been a grandad taxi for a few years. The littlest one is borderline nearly to a booster move. Vlad makes the correct point though legislation keeping it all legal it is down to the size of the child their are height requirements and if they come within that you don't need anything. Boosters as you know are to let them see a bit more and to be more comfortable. You will find the middle seat is usually convex and they like the boosters to be on the outer seats they are bit less convex and are behind a seat presumably less chance of getting thrown through windscreen.
  3. Bernard i vividly remember buying a used Toyota Carina many years ago. From a main Toyota dealer. In the showroom talking to the salesman i asked what is that over there it was a Lexus he said it is a new luxury vehicle toyota are bringing out. So you might not be far off the mark here. Hope everything is all well over there.
  4. The Light should definitely come under the manufacturers 3 year warranty as pointed out above. The leather i would put down to wear and tear and yes it is leather.
  5. At work yesterday i saw a white car with blue racing stripes i thought what's this big floodlights on front grill. looked closer it was a ford Mexico. Remember them.
  6. I had a 2.0litre Capri. Gold with a tan vinyl roof.
  7. Nice read Gary. I will be doing a long trip to Cornwall shortly I think its 365 miles from our house. I don't think I've ever had anywhere near that mileage fuel consumption you get but gentle driving warm weather I will get 50. I find seats comfy no issues when i get out.
  8. Evening Len yes i can see where your coming from im soon to be 68 have health issues heart arthritis etc. so mobility worsens as getting older. I used to love cleaning my cars. Actually did a lot at work i have a job where its possible. I have difficulty kneeling down getting up etc. So my car cleaning days are now what can i do to make it easier. Like ive posted in detailing I've made the jump to a foam nozzle im experimenting with different foams and now this ceramic stuff you simply spray on and rinse off all to make my car washing easier. you must be disappointed its come to this that's why your right in doing what you've done. Onwards and upwards my friend.
  9. Welcome to the forum Jason . Sounds a nice car you have. I will be travelling down to Cornwall in the UX 2weeks this Saturday just take my time and enjoy the vehicle. Coming from East Yorks its a long trip usually do a couple of stops and always stop at launceston on A30 go to butchers breaks journey up. Over the years the road to Cornwall has significantly improved. Good for a hybrid drive on A30 keep it out of cruise ease of accelarator on those looooong downhills.
  10. That's good service from the Leeds dealership Jim.
  11. On the display it will state current version.
  12. Don't know why i always use android auto if I need any navigation but getting 3years maps with car I thought why not update before 3 years up. The way i do it is to download to the head unit in the car. So on Sunday tethered my mobile and got the update. when i did the restart parked up it said an update is available and after checking sure enough there was. Again downloaded to head unit takes around an hour or thereabouts. Did the restart parked up and low and behold it said another update available and there was so another update. What im trying to say is when i updated first time why didn't they send the latest update. Im now on 2023 v1. I think they update twice a year.
  13. Welcome to the forum Simon.
  14. The hourly rate seems way too high. I think most franchised dealers would be around the £150 to £170 mark. Query it.
  15. Evening folks well i can happily report after been left at the east midlands airport meet n greet for 11 days on my return the car started no problem at all. So @Herbiewas right shouldn't be a problem. Should anyone use this airport the Meet n greet service is good.
  16. Getting intermittent creaking as the tailgate closes. Not every time now and again. I think i mentioned this last year it started during that really hot spell heatwave. Doesn't sound good actually when it happens. I put it down to extreme heat last year I've heard it a few times over last couple of months. I think it comes from the struts predominately the left one. Any of you good folk on here experienced this.

  22. I opened the passenger door the other day and there on the top dash was a lacewing I think that's what its called. From now on Gary I'm turning the internal sensor off problem solved. It's just remembering to do it.
  23. You've reminded me Gary to havea look in the manual i too never use them but i think in certain situations they are useful. I watched a vid and sure it said something about regenerative braking. To be honest like you i let the cvt do the business for me.
