Hi 6Speed i just give them a call and they quoted me £120 + Vat to replace FM tuner, i thinks they are trying it on wierd

Have u ever had work done by them before i just phoned them and they said to replace the FM unit it would be £120 + Vat. Anyone had this done before if so does this sound about right? ← No I haven't had any work done from them before. Have you considered sourcing a complete audio unit from e-bay? ← I was thinking of that i just looked and there is one on there one up to £155 with 2 days left. i hope i can get it fixed first but if not i will have to bit the bullett and get a new one

Right my FM on my radio has just stopped working overnight MW, CD and tape work fine, now i have used the search function and have seen that a few people have had the same problem. Anyway i phoned my local stealer and they said they have never heard of this breaking and it would cost me over £80 for them to take it out and send it away then whatever it took them to find the problem and fix it. Anyone know of any other company that can fix this in the north west of a company anywhere i can just send the radio myself. Cheers

Cheers for all the info turns out the car is stolen, scum , i am fuming as they have been driving around the area at all diferent times eaven as early as midday, i have phoned the police and the last time they took 14 hours to come out, like they have any chance of finding them, i had a car chase with them last night again and they crashed but still managed to get away as i was not willing to do 100 in a 20mph area. Death needs to be delt out.

would i just phone the DVLA then???

Anyone with a IS 200 in Liverpool keep a eye on your motor i have had 3 attempted break ins to my home over the weekend to get the keys for what the police are saying is a incressing number of incedents in the area, i know they are after a IS200 as they tried the same think at my mate house around the corner who also has a IS. Off subject but i got the reg nunber of the car involved (i chased them again last night), anyone know if this info can be traced???

Right just had a lovely new is200 with the styling kit on it as a courtsey car, and was thinking about the possiblity of fitting something simeler on my is 200 sport (w reg) what sort of price would i be looking at and are there any non lexus ones that are nice availible. Cheers

well i think that you are talking rubbish with regards to the worst car you have drove, i have owned a Old (1.8T) and a new Shape A4 (2.0 SE) not a bad car but does not come near the drive of the lexus, the range rover to i have drove a LOT and if you are taking about the old one which engine would you say drives better than the lexus? The Range Rover, X5 are 4x4's so are totally different and you cannot compare them to the lexus drive, there is a £60,000 Porsche there well what can i say i would have to have a word if i payed 60,000 SPORTS car and it handled like a 4 door saloon. Also the M3 what shall we say close to £50,000 double the lexus price and more of a sports car than a saloon the only cars there you can compare (as with the same type of car are the Golf GT TDI, Passat Highline GT TDI, Audi A4 As i said above with the audi. The golf is a good car i used to own a GTI same again more brut power than a cruising car, and the passat i cannot comment on because i haven't drove one but the overall package could not come close to the lexus. Sorry about the rant. Also why don't you GO GOLD to sell it then :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk:

where did you get the screen from? is there a way of avoiding the tape unit as i wantto see as little wires as possible?

Right i need some advice on instaling the above, what i want to do is install a screen where the sat nav goes on the is200 ( i do not have sat nav but want to place the screen in the same place) i want a screen that i can disconect when not in use so it does not get robbed. and was thinking about putting the PSTWO in the glove box. i would want the sound to come through the factory speakers (I have a sport by the way) any ideas for the above and any advice on the install and advice on a screen to use.?? just a note about people coming into you house it doesnt just happen to guys with Very expensive cars (100K +) i know of 3 eg in the last 18 months af people breaking into peoples houses (booting the door down and threatening the owner if no keys where handed over) for a Subaru, BMW and wait for it a lexus so it does happen if someone wants that car bad enough they will do anything for it. I park my car on the road outside of my house (as i do not have a drive or a garage) and never leave my keys any where that can be seen (will not say where) but if some one came in to my house to get them they would be sorry.

Right i needed a new key as i only got one with my car so went to dealers after a few discusions and nerlly getting charged £245 for the pleasure i have been told that my car cannot have any more keys on it due to the key i have not beeing the master key. so they are saying that i would have to buy the ECU (witch is £700) plus any amount of keys i want, does this sound right, if so does anyone know of one in a scrappy that has more that one keys with the ecu??

i just got one of these, a sony DCRPC109E.CEH and WHAT a camcorder for the money, payed more that double than this one cost 2 years ago and the old one looks like the differnce between a old spectrum to a pentium 4. i got myone for just under £500 and am chuffed to bitts with it

This happend to a mate of mine who is well into his cars he had a 2004 subaru impeza turbo and was woken up buy 5 guys in balaclavers booting his door down with bats and knives they battered him and his aunty till they give him the keys (he had just forgot where he had put them) they did 3 cars that night in the same manner. he now drives a old ford KA because of it. i say all apply for you shotgun license and seek some old fasioned revenge

Dont know if it is any good but how long would u need it for, my is200 is stanadrd, as u are only in warrington, could come down and you could take off borrow it for a short time
