  1. It sounds like a 'head or heart' thing. Just going by the figures, especially the difference in the insurance group, head says Yaris Cross. BUT the Lexus name and quality, I expect the heart and LBX will win. Best of luck, whatever your choice.
  2. Any gas when heated at atmospheric pressure becomes lighter than air.. even air can be lighter than air and this is the basis of the hot air balloon. The equation governing this is the equation of state (for ideal gases- that is not very dense gases) This one!
  3. 25 bar?? That's 362.594 PSI which I feel is a tad high. The car would float into the air 🤣
  4. The photo is from the real place they are from, Malaysia!
  5. No, it wasn't advice from Lexus, more 'in general' although copious posts in the Toyota forum regarding this.
  6. I was told not to do this .. connect the NOCO positive to the battery positive BUT connect the negative to some bare, unpainted bodywork or a convenient bolt, anything that gives a good earth. Apparently, if you connect both directly to the battery it can cause issues with electronic circuitry.
  7. I did work hard, am now retired, so as I too enjoy a luxury car I am also mindful of the speed of depreciation.
  8. True, no way of telling that of course.
  9. I was looking at a second hand Lexus 2.0 E-CVT Euro 6 (s/s) 5dr, Premium Plus Pack Sunroof 2023 (23 reg) £31,220 The price seems very reasonable for a car that is 7 months 29 days old, BUT, when checking the price of the road fund license .. 'This vehicle has an additional tax surcharge of £390 until 28 Feb 2029' So that means it's lost at least £8780 in 8 months! that's some depreciation. 🤑
  10. reminds me of the TV show, Mork and Mindy 🤣
  11. Hi, obviously it depends on the length of the journey but is this 'data hungry?'
  12. The one I went to see, but didn't even test drive, had black seats, black headlining and no sunroof. Black cat in a coalmine came to mind. Perhaps I should try one with cream or ochre trim, with / without sunroof. There are 2 advertised on Autotrader with ochre trim and white/cream headlining but they are 2020 models, I really wanted the latest version. Will keep looking ....
  13. Mine too! has anyone got or can you get one with a light coloured headlining? I've seen a 69 reg tusami advertised but was after the latest version?
  14. is that seats and headliner? So difficult to find a vehicle with a white / light headliner second hand.
  15. Hi, sorry if this has been asked already, i did search 'maps' but didn't see this mentioned. How long do the free map updates last? If I was to purchase an older model just wondering how long is left! Thanks
  16. just seen these .. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/285011949084?hash=item425c09361c:g:wYUAAOSwyzJjVQMg&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoFoo2Ly3zRNETsjGUcG3750YFqsPYjlAQhItUf16m83BPo8suyKd5Fcu67UJtOylv81lk79q2sXBhzqKxTcQoQRCHh1DePNrZS7cvrr1iGHbBYVp%2BuJb0XXGHErV927YYF%2BRZ%2FWOMS0X8c7%2B5OVRmyQSWyqTTTLVNL59v3pu8JFqxHkOdIpphw%2FPbH%2FCax4LwVuMbqrBV6bZ6E%2Bh4KR%2FdGM%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR77BhbmTYQ
  17. I bought a set of four mudflaps from a main dealer .. they were cheaper than online!
  18. Is there the option of black leather seats but a light coloured headliner?
  19. I was seriously thinking of buying a UX250H, but as Barry14UK says I too found the all black interior very claustrophobic. The only option for a lighter headlining was to go with lighter coloured seats. Had a blue vehicle with black seats and a white / lighter headlining existed, I wouldn't have hesitated. Another consideration was the length of the warranty as I would have been buying second hand .. now Lexus / Toyota have the 10 year warranty scheme that is no longer an issue.
  20. Hmm, makes sense I guess, although when I spend the sort of money they are asking I would like to see exactly what I am buying, not imagining how it could look! I have not noticed this at 'other makes' dealers ...
  21. Thankyou, I will and hopefully find what I am looking for. Maybe the salesman will know what he's talking about and have a better knowledge of the product he is selling. I think the UX looks fantastic, especially in the metalic blue which is the colour I was after. It was the totally black interior that put me off. Maybe because of all the cars I have owned over the years, I have never had one with a black headlining. Obviously I must be the odd man out here as most of the UX models have this colour and loads have been sold! I telephoned both dealers prior to my visit to make sure the vehicle I was interested in was still in stock. Neither of them informed me that they were 'under preparation' or needed cosmetic work / repairs carried out. They were situated in Ipswich and Tunbridge Wells.
  22. UPDATE .. I finally went to a Lexus dealer today to see a very smart looking blue UX250h. This is the second Lexus dealer I have visited, the first time, several months ago to view a CT200h. I found both to be very welcoming, with a drink and biscuits provided. The CT200h had staines on the light coloured roof lining, which when pointed out to the sales assistant, I was told 'that will be resolved if you buy it.' The UX250h I viewed today had a large scrape and several deep scratches in the metalic paintwork and again I was told 'will be sorted out before you buy it.' Neither vehicle was under preparation so are they hoping no-one notices the blemishes which will save them the cost of repair? I would have thought they should be displayed in top condition, especially being a Lexus, or am I being naive? Sadly, in my opinion and I know many will disagree with me, I found the interior of the UX250h to be a very gloomy place .. black seats, which I wanted, but black everything else, which I didn't want. I asked the salesman whether Lexus did a lighter headlining, ColinBarber kindly supplied an interior colours and trims chart previously, but he said they didn't. I mentioned in passing that I had previously considered a CT200h but was put off by the CAT thefts, to which he replied ' you won't have that problem with the UX250h as it doesn't have a CAT.' It was a hybrid I was looking at, not electric! I have decided against a Lexus as my next and probably final vehicle purchase .. maybe it's just me but is this normal behaviour / knowledge from Lexus dealers?
