Hi guys! I am an NX 300h f-sport 2015 model owner. Love the car to bits! I have noticed with the remote key recently, when approaching the car it would unlock upon approach. Since I have owned the car for almost 4 years now, this has never happened. I have always had to walk up to the car and just reach for the handle inside and it would unlock then. Is this normal? Mixed feelings about this "feature" always liked how in the dark the LED lights in doors come up only when I am a meter away and I open the door all other lights come up. The remote key is held in a pouch (always) just got used to that and it never seems to cause issues for the car to recognise the presence of the key. The pouch is one of those signal blocking ones. However when close to car it all works fine. Also, is there a way to set up a way when you walk away form the car, it closes it self after a short period? I have tried to walk away and waited for minutes but the car would remain unlocked. Many thanks all!

Does anyone know exact make and model of that repair kit bottle? The bottle has to fit the compressor. Little info is on the actual bottle and the compressor, except for guidance on use. Thanks for sharing the manual! Was unable to download from Lexus website for whatever reason. Well this is it, I get the 2 beeps but nothing happens. If the tailgate operates fine when using the under number plate button and it has no mechanical failure, then my only explanation would be settings in the system. I have walked through them and can't find anything relating the tailgate, except having it automated or not. What really puzzles me is once I have unlocked, and once manually opened the tailgate (with the button under number plate) if I walk away from the car it will then work with the key fob with no issue. Only when the car is locked I am unable to open it using the key fob. Thanks anyway, I will check the manual and see if I can find anything on this further.

Hi guys, This is how I imagine opening my car with my key (as seen in link bellow) similar to the key I have for my NX three button layout. Batteries are new and recently replaced no issues with car detecting key etc. https://i.pinimg.com/736x/e3/42/33/e34233862ef4c647221ab8cc0404c253.jpg Me imagining - So I walk up to the locked car with my groceries, press the tailgate button (on the key) as I approach the vehicle, the tailgate opens, I place in my groceries in the boot, press the large button on the tailgate and the tailgate closes as I make my way to the drivers door to get in the car. Reality - as I walk up to the car, I press and hold the tailgate button on the key (car beeps twice) and nothing happens. Ok, I press again, same story. Then I decide to press the unlock button (mirrors unfold car is open) then I hold tailgate button again, now I have one looong beep - but the tailgate remains shut. So ok, I walk up to the car and press the rubber strip on the back (under number plate) and hold - the tailgate opens automatically as expected. I then close the tailgate by the large square button on tailgate, it closes with no issues. Now, with this process done, if I step away from the car and hold the tailgate button on the keyfob - whuallaa! The tailgate opens! Why, oh why, is the tailgate not opening when the car is being approached as it is locked. My parents have an Nissan xtrail and have exactly the experience I described in my (imagine) scenario. I am puzzled here, I am also struggling to download the NX manual from website as the car is German import and the manuals are in German. If someone could share a .pdf in English would be much appreciated! All your help much appreciated. Many thanks!

Actually this video was what persuaded me to get my NX. In exact that same colour and f sport model. I am in love with it. I must have watched that video some 20 times. Still look at it even now when I have my car!

Hi there, I have recently purchased Lexus NX 300h F sport model, 2.5L Petrol Hybrid. My concern is the fuel consumption. From what I looked online the average milage for F sport is 37.7mpg or 7.5l per 100km. I was driving on the German autoban at 180 to 200 km/h and my fuel consumption was shown at 22mpg or 13l/100km. Is this normal? I then also did a very consistent cruise control drive at 95km/h for 1.5hours and average fuel consumption was shown at arround 7.4L/100km. Just want to confirm if this is to be expected as this is my first larger car. I also have an audi a4 avant s line 2010 year 1.8 Turbo Petrol and it showed at 200km fuel consumtion of 8.9l/100km. The car did also have approx 17 liters of oil bottles in the back (Toyota gear box oil if ever needed, provided from previous owner) and 4x winter tires in the back. Many thanks!
