Alas, the beast is sold. It was interesting to see the statistics on Autotrader. I had over 10,000 views in 6 wks and 20 callers. The great thing was that there were no buyers that wanted the car the same night as the wife needed it for the school run the next morning (strange being half term..)!! I had indepth conversations with many potential buyers and the more I told them about the car, the more I hoped they would not buy it 😆! All the buyers had never owned an ISF and some hadn't even heard of one..it was the advert that had reeled them in. There were a few 100k-phobic..I guess you gotta see it for yourself that this car isn't labouring sitting comfortable at xxxmph and ticking over at 2000revs!!! After many enjoyable conversations, it was the 'first to see will buy' though I despise that statement in an advert😂! The car went to the perfect buyer, an enthusiast with many famous race tracks under his belt and driving experience of numerous leading German brands. However, this V8 blew his mind and the throttle response was something he was not expecting. Just like myself, he was seeking something different and that is exactly what he got. The decision to buy was straightforward. In the last 6 yrs I've only seen two other ISF's and that is why this car is so special. As the new owner started up the beast and pulled away, I was absolutely gutted and still am. Nothing on the road excites me and with the ulez in effect, even hopes of owning a classic 190E have been dashed! It's planes, trains and Ubers for now!! Adios gentlemen, it's been a blast and such a shame that due to the pandemic, a meet up was never an option. Safe driving✌️
