I haven't started my 2008 RX 450h for 2 weeks. Today it started and after 500m a beep started and my dash said “check hybrid system. Check VSC” . I pulled over and switched off the engine. Then it wouldn’t start. The garage said it was probably a drained battery. I called the aa and they got it started twice, but then it just locked out again. Can anyone tell me what it may be. Do I need to get it to lexus ?

Can anyone recommend a trusted website for second hand parts. Or is anyone selling a full head lamp including main ECU Thank you Sarah

Does anyone know how to transfer contacts to the phone book RX450h. Instructions in manual don’t work.

Please could anyone help me?. I have tried to transfer my contacts from my iPhone to my phone book. I have successfully added my phone and connected to Bluetooth however, each time I try to transfer my contacts, my Bluetooth hands free disconnects on my lphone, but the screen on my car still shows it’s under transfer. I’ve left my engine running for ages but nothing seems to happen and no contacts are transferred. There is nothing in the manual to suggest I’ve missed anything it seems quite simple. I read on the internet that I need a file transfer app first it this correct ? Any suggestions? It’s been over a year since I’ve had my car and I’ve tried it multiple times, am I missing something? I have a 2008 RX 450h and there is a sat nav CD in the boot. Will I be able to buy an updated cd from the same website?

I bought my 2008 RX 450h from an advert on this site. It is an amazing car. The chap had taken the converter off for fear of it being stolen. He had downloaded a lot of information from the internet showing that the 450h did not need the cat to pass the mot.(he gave me the cat with the car of course) he had fitted something else. When I took my car for the mot last year it passed without the cat on.

Hi Lexus Lovelies. has anyone had issues with the battery when the the RX 400h has not been started or Driven for 3-4 weeks ? Is it possible to leave the battery on trickle charge ? I understand (if I am correct) there are 2 batteries, the electric battery and a 12v battery ?. Any advise please ???

Thank Paul, we are chuffed to bits with it. Stephen as been allowed to drive it to the petrol station on the understanding he fills it up with fuel lol .

Absolutely, Paul has done us proud and I’m so great full. It’s in mint condition and he even drove it over to our local garage to be inspected prior to purchase. He’s a top genuine guy and he can rest assured I will look after her as well as he did. Pics will be posted very soon I’m sure . Thanks again Paul.

Hi Herbie, most of the MOT’s for the 400h seem to have had a mention of the suspension arm bush noted . Is this a common fault and is it expensive to rectify?

Do all SE -L Lexus 2009 have air suspension? I am interested in one, but there has been an issue with the suspension air arm bush and it seems to be a common issue with some models . I have been advised to avoid air suspension. I called the garage selling the car which is a SE-L and they are telling me it does not have air suspension ?

Hi all, just looking on the Official Lexus website and found a car I fancy . Checked out the Mot History on the gov website but it only shows the latest one. Anyone any idea why that would be ? Car is 2010 MOT for 2020 ???

Unfortunately Roy, we didn’t get to that point I haven’t been to see it because it wasn’t convenient for him at this moment time . I’m hopeful he still wants to sell but in the meantime I need to keep looking . sas

Well, looks like I’m still looking. Poor Paul can’t part with his at the moment but fingers crossed. If anyone spies anything within 50 miles from L40 please give me a nudge. Decided on RX 400h or 450 h any pointers much appreciated? sas

It's quite endearing being given information on this site, I'm so glad I joined. I am so worried about getting swindled but I feel so much safer with all the snippets of information I have received from the Lexus club.
