  1. Hi all, I don't know if any of you guys and girls have had the same frustrations as me when it comes to finding a neat and useful place to position and secure you mobile phones whilst driving. There's not alot of compatible phone holders on the market for the CT200H especially in the UK. However I have recently found a good option for a phone holder that you do not have to mount onto the heater vents and risk damaging them, or having your phone snatched especially if you live in London. Please take a look at the following link: JIMISHA Car Phone Holder Phone Car Mount with Stick On Base Cell Phone Car Mount Sticky Adhesive Mount Holder for for 4 inches to 6.5 inches Smartphones https://amzn.eu/d/8TnhOlc I have recently installed this into the vacant slot that sits near front passenger seat. All I had to do was stick the base straight on using the 3M adhesive pad and the phone holder slots straight in without any hassle. Pretty solid hold for my Samsund S20 plus!
  2. I do apologise for the late reply, I have managed to get this fixed at a reasonable price at a local Vehicle Electrician specialist in Central London. I had to purchase a non-OEM part to resolve the issue. But since its installation there has been no issues, all steering wheel functions have returned to normal and the horn works perfectly! I have included a link to the part that I purchased on ebay which cost me around £40 at the time (£800 for an OEM part), and I was charged £60 for the installation by my Vehicle Electrician. Have had it installed for over a year without any issues. Please see the link below for the part required: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324945457010?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=UYc4-p3_T3y&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=80g8Mr4hSxe&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Here is the Vehicle Electrician that I used for the installation of my clockspring, they can source the part for you should you have any compatibility issues with parts as is often the case sometimes with ebay. 3. I'm happy to report that the horn issue has now been resolved and it turns out it was a dodgy clockspring all along, had a aftermarket clockspring installed and the horn and other functions work like a dream. Thank you all for invaluable input into this matter, if anyone needs any help or advice drop me a message.

  6. Thank you so much for that mate, I spoke to an advisor there and he's convinced its more than likely that it's a problem with the connections for the horn which only make contact and sound the horn whenever I move the steering wheel about
  7. I really don't fancy paying £800 for a clockspring and whatever else on top for labour. £200 to £300 for parts and labour is fair enough but £800 is far too dear for a intermittent horn problem that is driving me up the wall
  8. Trouble is mate, I don't know the best place to source this clockspring and I'm hearing that the actual part costs almost £800 from a Lexus dealership. I've got an upcoming MOT which I know will fail because of this horn issue. If I had known that this was a common problem with this model of car, I would've never purchased it 😒
  9. Need some urgent help guys!!! The horn in my CT200H has stopped working intermittently. It only works when I press the horn whilst the steering wheel is slightly turned in either the 2 o'clock or 10 o'clock position but doesn't seem to work if my steering wheel is dead straight. No warning lights on the dashboard. Only noticed this today and it worked fine straight after I retrofitted my cruise control switch on my steering wheel a month ago.

  12. Mate, just want to thank you for giving me tips on the cruise control retrofit. Happy to say I managed to install the cruise control switch today without any issues at all... no airbags were blown in my face thank god 🙂! Still find it senseless why Lexus didn't just fit this as standard after all it is a premium motor. Feel even better knowing I've saved myself a trip to Lexus Hatfield saving over £240 in parts and labour for such a basic task. If anyone living in and around London needs someone to do this installation for them and isn't confident with doing it themselves then give me a shout... I'd be happy to help.
  13. I've been a victim of this vile theft on a previous Hybrid I used to own; a 2010 Toyota Prius Gen 3. Was an absolute headache to sort out, as I didn't want the insurance company to sort it out due to the rise in insurance premiums. Best way to protect it is either get one of those CatLocs installed or even one of those sheet metal covers that most garages bolt straight onto the front suspension mounts, which cost around £50 to £60 to get one installed. Had one installed on my old Prius and it deterred any further attempts on my old Prius before I sold it. Installed the same sheet metal cover over the Catalytic converter of my Lexus CT200H as soon as I purchased it. Bought the car home and the next day a thieving mug had decided to cut the Horn wires situated within the front grille, possibly because they set off the car alarm when attempting to jack the car up and realising they can't access the Catalytic converter due to the cover and they probably left it. A few days later I tried using my horn and found that it had stopped working. Took it to garage and they confirmed that an attempt had been made on the Catalytic converter on my Lexus. But the thieving mugs had got as far as jacking the car up and seeing the sheet metal cover protecting the Catalytic converter.
  14. Thanks a million mate, I'm going to order the part from Ebay that you've advised me to get. I'll let you know how I get on with the installation.
  15. You're a legend mate, I'm grateful for all the information you've provided. After a serious thought with myself. I've decided I'm going to take the plunge and do the installation myself. I'm just worried about disturbing the airbag system when I try the install. That cruise control stalk link you've provided from ebay; is it OK long term with car? It's just I don't want to have the system malfunction with a non-oem part. I've heard of horror stories with systems failing in other car companies.
