  1. Remove the rear seats, simply tug at the front and the lower section comes up, then remove the back of the rear seat (four bolts from memory) you have to push up hard to unhook them at the top. Remove the rear shelf (you might need to pop the two C-pillar covers off ) and simply unplug the speakers and undo the bolts. Might be a guide in the tech section, or hae a look on IS300.net for a more detailed explanation :)
  2. Happy Birthday Gord!! Hope you have a good one, all the best mate
  3. Happy Birthday mate, hope you had a great day
  4. You need to remove the vent assembly above the unit, do this by removing the lint tray if you have one, there should be two screws underneath it, then pull it out, you have to give it a go tug. This will expose two bolts securing the frame which holds the aircon & radio. You need to remove the panel holding the heated seat buttons to access the lower bolts (just reach underneath and give it a tug). Undo the upper and lower bolts, remove the whole assembly, fairly straight forward from there. Be VERY carful not to scratch your dash.. you would be advised to run masking tape down both sides of the console to avoid scratches.
  5. Mine are certainly part of the moulding of the door. I had considered buying two new door cards, and building speaker pods into them. Mr Singh has done some nice work on his door speakers.
  6. Easy to fit centre armrest, takes about 45 minutes :) No need to replace the whole centre console at all!
  7. Having experienced a carjacking personally I know exactly how you feel, the good thing being of course you are ok. Having been made redundant I know how that feels too, can't imagine both at the same time though. Good luck with your MBA.. its good to look to the future :)
  8. I have managed to mount two 8" subs in the wholes with 24mm of mdf and keep them concealed under original covers. Not sure what they sound like yet though, or if the shelf will handle them. Had considered making a new MDF shelf to sit on top with the subs in, making a stronger mount for them. They are running free air into the boot, no enclosure needed :)
  9. Sorry to hear this, but looking at the positve as others have mentioned, effective treatment is a very much a reality these days, all the best mate, good luck!
  10. Absolutely, you can add me to the list!
  11. Have a look at www.brodit.com, I have a couple of their brackets (as does Fargo) and they offer brackets for several locations in the IS. You can simply pick the bracket for the location, then select the TomTom Go adaptor that is suitable. I think I still have the details of a guy who can supply them too, which I can look for if you think they are what you want :)
  12. Hi Anees I have TEIN coilovers, I bought them from Brettster. They are awesome, and the 'knocking' is overstated in my opinion. When I take my car up to Glossip for the paint job, you're welcome to have a listen :)
  13. Happy Birthday!! Have a great day
  14. I finally got the pics of my dynamat'd boot: Have also done under rear seats and rear deck too :) Doors next, not decided on the floor yet.
  15. Wrexham eh? Just down the road from me, I'm in Ellesmere :) Nice to know I am not quite so isolated from the rest of the LOC world
  16. For storage you can get 1 gig SD cards now, so you could always have a collection of cards with a few different mixes or genres of music on. the 512mb SD cards are less than £20 each now
  17. To be honest I have no idea what the sound quality is like. Maybe there is a jacket which not on has VGA out, but audio out too? I know they are aimed at presentations, so they must produce a reasonable sound output. You are absolutely right about via USB.. I have got a mount from those nice Brodit people, and will position the Ipaq to the left of the headunit. The holder has the interface built in, which the USB sync cable simply plugs into, providing power and USB connection to my carputer. Its kind of a backup plan if I am not happy with Map Monkey, at least I can put TomTom on the Ipaq if its no good :)
  18. Indeed I do :) I have the Cusco two point version on my car, and found that it tightened the back up nicely thank you very much. Must get the front one fitted actually ;) I had front and rear strut bars on my Impreza, and when I removed them to sell the car it was a noticeable difference in handling for the few days I drove it after I removed them.
