  1. Congratulations Scott, only just found out. Best of luck for you and your family
  2. There's loads of stuff out there, and I believe there is a 'jacket' you can get for the Ipaq which provides a VGA output. I'm mounting my Ipaq in the car too, and linking to the caputer. That way I can update calender in Outlook in work, which updates Ipaq and updates carputer, and reminds me of stuff as I drive... sad I know :)
  3. I used a bulk pack of dynamat extreme and had to use my door kit too as I was waiting for the second bulk pack to arrive. Exteme bulk pack is 36sq ft, door kit is 12 sq ft... so roughly 48sq ft to cover the whole boot. I also took pictures as I did it, so will see if I can dig them out, although it might not be until the weekend :)
  4. Happy Birthday Tony, hope you're having a great day!
  5. If you added the laptop to your domain, you could just log onto the laptop using your admin account? You also need to create a user account on your PDC Server so he can log into your domain using his laptop
  6. Classic case of when it suits the coppers to quote European law as there is no UK law relating to the use of HIDs specifically. They draw less than 55W so a technically legal. Like you say though and as I would have thought, they would only check alignment
  7. So if the bolts cannot be used, how is that they sell the OBX ones? These are the same bolts as I was going to get, how can they sell them if they will not work? IS200 is not sold in the US Tony... hence no mention of it over there
  8. Why do you need to change them when it comes to MOT time? I would have thought as long as they are correctly aligned there would not be a problem. Can't see anyone checking what kind of bulbs you're using.
  9. I used some Rover Gunmetal to tart up the dash in my Impreza, and its the closest I have seen to the colour they use in the IS. Gave the same advice to someone a while back to spray his gauge housing and he seemed fairly pleased with the result as far as I know
  10. Thanks for that Pete, appreciate you posting your findings. Will have to sort out a suitable adaptor :)
  11. I had OZ Super T's on my scoob, which had 15 spokes and they were a bitch to clean... nice looking wheels though
  12. Only 5 LEDs... thats interesting. The method I saw for the US one uses about 25!! So have you just carefully angled the five so you get the light to spread through the plastic diffusers?
  13. Three 501 wedge types with Orange condoms on for the central part of the cluster :)
  14. I've some some LEDs from UltraLEDs in my dash at the moment. I'm not 100% happy with them, and not as even as I'd like, but for a 15 minte upgrade I'm quite pleased. Will see if I can organise some pics. Paul, did you get around to the dash section of your guide yet? Did you do it same way as the 'Shadowboxer' ones in US?
  15. Belated happy birthday mate! Its a scary feeling crossing that 30 barrier..
  16. I looked at doing this, but when it came to fit the t-piece there was not enough room, so didn't even get as far as removing the sender unit. The mechanic suggested I got a piece of braided hose to extend feed so that the t piece could be fitted. If you get anywhere, then please post your findings. Cheers
  17. Found this guide if anyone still needs one :)
  18. Have you had a look on www.talkaudio.co.uk ? There are a number of guys on there who have experience of this equipment and are far better suited to advise you.
  19. I have just dynamatted my whole boot, rear deck and under the rear seats. It took a lot more than I anticipated!! Just to do the rear deck, I would say 2-3 sheets and you can have it on both sides. I am mounting my subs in the rear deck (two 8's) and using 24mm mdf to mount the subs themselves (2 x 12mm), and then putting another 24mm underneath on the same bolts to reinforce things. I'm hoping that by using a single piece of mdf bolted to both mounts it will add enough rigidity to prevent vibrations.
  20. A shame you're not doing the golf umbrella's and the baseball caps again, I missed them in October :(
  21. Where are you sourcing the 24" tube and how much?
  22. Push the lense in the middle and gently pull the edges, as its secured by two tabs, one either side (one to the front of the car, one to the rear). By pushing it in the middle it should allow you to ease it off. I think the bulb is a BA9 fiting but it might be a BA7. You can tell by the width of the base, being either 7 or 9mm
  23. Which unit did you go for in the end then ? May as well use your experience and order the right one :) Robert is a top bloke over at UltraLEDs, have been discussing dash LEDs with him too :)
  24. Is there an echo in here?? lol I think its the 38mm one, why not take the cover off and check? Robert is a top bloke at ultraleds.co.uk, I am using some of their LEDs to try and get the dash lighting over to blue with a simple LED exchange for the main cluster. Robert will look at offering a kit if/when suitable units have been tested :)
