    At the risk of being obvious, why not user a multimeter to check it? I would take an earth from body anyway, the bolt holding your gearshift cover down is a handy one to use. I believe Gord is right as he gave me the same info when I was hooking up my EDFC :)

    I have chosen no to use any of the existing wiring. I am replacing Lexus unit with a Pioneer DEX-P9R, installing amps in the boot and running my own speaker wire. I don't think anyone has utilised the exisiting loom if they have replaced headunit on a Sport. I think Fargo may have a wiring diagram, and there is one over on IS300.net too I think

    I'm looking to put one in a DIN plate above aftermarkert headunit, along with Oil Temp & Oil Pressure.. 'change' tray in tact... no ash tray needed ;)

    Tracker is effective, but not always. The night my car got jacked the weather prevented the police helicopter (it was raining ??) so they could not pursue despite me notifying Tracker immediately. They had to rely on the in car units to locate the car, which as it happened had been abondoned half a mile down the road. Another point on Tracker. Do you really want a car back after it has been stolen? I somethimes think I'd have been happier never to see my again. The hassle getting it back, and then the way it doesn't feel the same....

    I never felt the same about my car.. and they were probably only in it for two minutes.. if that. You're right about it all being surreal when its happening... still seems surreal now.. i ended up trading in scoob for the Lex

    I'm afraid it won't be under warranty on a W plate. If its working on 'rare' occaisions, might be worth checking its getting a decent earth. there might be someone with an amp to sell here, I have seen them on ebay occaisionally, and then there's salvage yards...

    If you can't find one to match, why not choose one and apply it to both A-pillars so at least they are the same? Any pics? sounds interesting mate! I was thinking of making a custom A-pillar to mount gauges on, rather than a black universal type

    I'm really sorry to hear that mate, I totally feel for you. Same thing happened to me at end of January last year, I got car jacked while I was with a friend in Ikea car park. That was when I had Impreza though, I had hoped it was less likely to happen with the IS :(

    Hmm... of course, irrespective of the IS beating the cossie, we all know the cossie had its day.. cause the Impreza's & Evo's have been whipping it for over 10 years now :) I certainly don't remember the 1998 cossie ever managing 0-60 in 5.8!! I think we're in the territory of urban legends here.

    Sounds to me like you got a sales pitch for additional OPTIONAL extra's... if you NEEDED those things to add a supercharger, I think TTE would be obliged to point that out, or to at least offer them as part of their range, which to my knowledge they do not.

    I'm confused.. so Brettsold it.. then he sold it again?? The group buy didn't go ahead yet, there were only two confirmed interets. I'm guessing that with xmas looming at the time, cash flow was the issue to those who had originally wanted to sign up
