  1. Yes it will until it is 6 years old I believe.
  2. I have emailed them to ask this question as mine is a 2020 model.
  3. It did with Saga a few years ago, I had 20 plus years, but I changed & stayed with the same company for a couple of years who only gave 15 years. I left & went to Saga, but they would only accept the 15 years I had with the current insurer even though I told them I had over 20 years before that, they added about another £30 because I couldn't prove the 20 years I originally had, so I have had to build it up again & don't want to lose it again now.
  4. The only issue with Tesco ins is they only give 9 years NCB & I had 20 years when I joined from the AA last year. I have had to phone them & they are sending out a letter with 21 years NCB proof.
  5. That is probably a very good idea.👍
  6. Well I just had my Tesco insurance renewal through, £260 last year, £610 this year. 😬 20years NCB protected, Retired so no commuting, 4,000 miles a year. Just been on comparison site & can get it for £314 with all of above, but £100 excess compared to £250 with renewal. So goodbye Tesco, hello Aviva, unless I can manage to get a better deal somewhere else.
  7. If I remember correctly on the IS300h service schedule it says replace fob battery every service, whether they do or not who knows?
  8. I had mine replaced at just 3 years old on the 3 year service, it was done under warranty, but told me I was lucky as it would only have been covered for 3 years.
  9. That is absolutely ludicrous, there should be an investigation into this sort of profiteering.
  10. I think the F/L came out in 2017. I would always go with the newest model if possible, unless there are things you can't live without.
  11. Are you sure the car you are looking at isn't an face lift IS300h comfort pack model? Mine is a 2020 70 plate comfort model & it has Tahara heated seats, reversing camera, rain sensing wipers, keyless entry & auto dimming mirror.
  12. Can't comment on a lot of the other issues really as low milage drive, but normally average between 45 & 50mpg. Has enough power for me & stereo is fine. Good luck whatever you decide.
  13. Martin Lewis warned of this a few weeks ago & even had an insurance exec on his show & he said the cost of repairs had risen so much in the last year they had no choice but to raise premiums to cover their cost.
  14. Hi Richard, that does seem way too much. You are right to question it.
  15. I have just looked at my service plan, taken out last year for another 3 years after my initial 2 year plan run out. The cost for 2 full services & one intermediate service is £1465/ £35.80 a month which should be the same for your RC. There is no discount, but it stays at that price even if the cost of servicing goes up.
  16. Well I have just returned from having my IS300h serviced & MOT'd at Canterbury Lexus, 3 years service, but only 9,300 miles. Very impressed with service, dropped car off at 09.00 given a coffee straight away & then they provided a driver to take my wife & I into the city for some shopping & lunch. They phoned me about 11.30 to tell me it was all completed & to let them know when I wanted collecting, I said as the sun had come out we would walk the mile or so back & when we returned the car was ready, washed & vacuumed. I will definitely be returning to Canterbury Lexus.
  17. No, 1.7453 mph slower because of the extra weight.🤣🤣🤣
  18. I don't think I would even get a train ticket to London for what mine cost.😀
  19. I made some for mine out of St/Steel pipe, very easy.
  20. That is not good to hear. Hopefully Canterbury will be ok.
  21. Yes Maidstone is the one I have been using. I have a service & my first MOT booked in at Canterbury on Friday, so I will see how I get on. I originally thought I would try Tunbridge Wells, but they never returned any of my calls or emails, so I changed it to Canterbury.
  22. I have not had a great experience with my local Dealership with my last 2 services, but they have now closed so I have got to try another dealership next week for my annual service, lets hope they are an improvement.
  23. I have wondered this for a while myself. I love my IS & it does everything I need it to do & would definitely looked at a newer IS. Unfortunately I think the ES is too big & I am not too keen on SUV's myself so would probably have to look further afield to find what I wanted. I have discussed this with my wife & we both have agreed now that as the IS has only covered 9,000 miles in its 3 year life we are going to stick with it for probably another 3 years.
  24. This has been an interesting topic to follow. I don't necessarily agree with all the comments made by Linas, but he is entitled to his opinion & some of what he is saying is true. Some of his comments though you do have to take with a pinch of salt, but it does make for interesting reading none the less. I love my Is300h & I know Linas has a dislike for them, but I am the one who owns it & that is all that matters to me. As for the ES, I have only sat in one at the dealers so cannot really comment about how good or bad they are, all I know is that I wouldn't buy one because of their size.
