  1. I’ve done just over 20,000 miles in my UX F Sport with Bridgestone run flats. Still have 4mm on the front ones and 7mm on the rears. So the front ones will get to the next MOT. In June. I think I drive normally, I certainly don’t spend much time thinking about tyre wear. It’s the sort of mileage I would have expected. I do look at the pressures every week or so and maintain them at 32psi.
  2. I have Lexus roof bars which are as Colin says made by Thule and rebranded. They are easy to fit. Wanting to carry suitcases I realised that a suitable roof box would be enormous relative to the size of the car. I have purchased a Thule Canyon XT Roof Basket which takes 2 suitcases easily. Being Thule it fits the roof bars properly. I rarely use it so I don’t have figures for fuel consumption. I’m guessing at a 10 to 15 percent reduction. However, together they do the job.
  3. The video instructions worked fine. Problem solved. Thanks both.
  4. Thank you Don C and Navnan 2 for the video and comments. You are correct, I was only pressing the return button. I’ll try the instructions in the video. Thanks once again.
  5. My UX F Sport was new in June 2020 and has been serviced every June. It has now done 19,750 miles. When you first start it the mileometer says xx miles to a service. Then changes to total mileage covered. Today it said ‘service engine oil soon’ This can be removed and the display returned to normal by pressing the return button on the left side of the steering wheel. But this message returns every time you restart the car and has to be turned back to normal using the return button. I assume that the service technician resets this after a service as it didn’t happen last year or the year before. It seems it wasn’t reset after the service in June this year. There’s no mention in the handbook of how to reset it. Can only the main dealer reset it? Does anyone know or has anyone experienced this and knows how to reset it?
  6. My 20 plate UX F Sport will take one big suitcase and a backpack in the boot. Drop the offside rear seat and you get a second big suitcase. Drop both rear seats and you can fit three big suitcases and several small bags. It’s fine for two people. With the rear seats up the boot is fine for shopping. For me it’s ideal for two people.
  7. Hello My 2020 F Sport has white leather seats and armrests with black headlining. The front seats have a black vertical stripe. This package was standard at the time. It’s not dark inside. I was and still am very pleased with it.
  8. I’ve had my 3 year old 250H F Sport for 2 and a half years. It’s got 17k miles and I’ve done 15k of them. In winter it returns 46mpg and in summer 52mpg. Recently I did a cross country route, all 30 and 40 mph limits and it returned 59.1 mpg. I guess the range is 400 miles. I generally fill it up at a quarter of a tank. I never let it get too low. Old habits never die. I don’t focus on economy but nor do I drive it with a lead foot.
  9. I had a Nextbase front and rear fitted at Jemca Reading a while ago when they were doing a special offer for £222.50. I just looked at the invoice. It’s dated June 2021. So not relevant now. However it’s a neat and unobtrusive installation.
  10. Ask when you next get it serviced. It may cost nothing or it may be £200 depending on the date of manufacture. I had mine done in June and there were 21 updates.
  11. Mine has done it once this week. It did it several times last summer but not in 2021. Last year I rubbed the struts with a light oil using a finger and just a small amount of oil and it stopped. If it persists this summer I’ll do it again.
  12. I’m a third one, exactly the same as both of you. However I have noticed in the last year or two that there are lots of vehicles with misaligned headlights and quite a few with fog lights on at the same time on clear nights. The road markings have got progressively worse over recent years and cat’s eyes don’t get cleaned. Budget cuts I suppose but what price safety.
  13. A windscreen repairer told me to stick a piece of cellotape over it as soon as you can to keep dirt and rain out until it can be repaired.
  14. I have a UX F Sport with 18 inch run flats. Last winter on really cold days my tyre pressure warning light came on at 2.2 bar on one tyre and went out at 2.3 bar. At the service in June I asked the dealer to set the warning lower. All are now reading 2.4 cold and 2.6 after driving and the ride is fine. I will have to wait until winter to see if they reset the warning or just increased the pressures.
  15. Mine did it too. The offside one. Just the one day and never returned. It was a hot day but not the hottest ones of the year.
  16. It was definitely a run flat. I can’t tell you the make as it’s not my car. He had to call the AA who put a universal skinny wheel on and followed him to the tyre fitters. The AA man said he regularly attends to people with this problem, that’s why he and his colleagues carry skinny spare wheels.
  17. On the subject of run flat tyres. This happened to my son after driving 7 miles at 25mph. Not a Lexus I know but it’s making me think about buying a skinny spare and a jack. It stayed partially inflated for a couple of miles then slowly collapsed.
  18. Absolutely agree. Ask the dealer if you can have it overnight. In my opinion the headlights are first rate, especially the auto dip function.
  19. Hello, My UX F sport was doing 53mpg in the summer and is now at 46.5mpg. I’ve had it for 14 months now. It did the same last winter. I’m sure it’s the ambient air temperature affecting the battery. My previous petrol only RAV4 was barely affected by the winter, it did 30mpg all year. So I’m still getting 50% more per gallon even in winter with the UX. Dave C
