My IS has done 107,000 and the gearbox is superb no clunking or notchy changes, i have done 25,000 miles in it and apart from the usual tyres etc not spent a penny on it!!!!

i get the same prob but the opposite, starts in cold weather but once heater does its job it stops!!!

got the main liners can't feel anything around lip of arch, think i'll take it in to Lexus and see what they say, thanks for help

Hi, just wondered if anybody else has experienced rust on the rear arch? I found out the cause by feeling behind the arch and it was full of wet mud which obviously gets trapped there and doesn't dry out. Also does anyone know Lexus's policy on the corrosion warranty as my last two services have been done by an independant would this make my warranty void? its a 1999 model

i had same prob as you and thought i would have to buy whole assembly but went to Halfords and found you get everthing that slots into the fog light (not just bulb) so all i had to do was clean things and push new units in, hopefully you could do the same,think they were about £10 each

Hi, i had the same problem!! if your cars less than 5 years old Lexus will exchange your unit for a new one free of charge. If no luck there's a head unit being sold on Ebay at the moment

i've got exactly the same problem with my stereo, low volume,then working sometimes!!! only differance is mine is an S model and doesn't have an amp like in the SE (behind glovebox). Maybe best to check earth etc before getting another amp.

hi, hope somebody can help me here; I have an IS200 S (no amp) and I was after the wiring diagrams for all the plugs that go into the back of the standard stereo; ie: which ones are the live/negative/speakers.... etc... can someone tell me what the small rectangular block is on one of the wires that go into the stereo, i thought it was an inline fuse?!?! when i pulled it apart, there was nothing in there that looked like a fuse. cheers for any help.

hi all, my lack of tooooons is really doing my head in now, theres only so long u can listen to the sound of the straight six... forgot to mention on my last post (a few questions below)... before my stereo finally packed up, the sound used to go up or down as and when I shut the doors or boot, just wondering whether the stereo is wired up to any sensors in the doors??? etc.... I know this sounds a stupid thing to say, but thats what used to happen. cheers...

Hi everyone, was hoping someone could give me any ideas. I have a 1999 is200 s and the stereo is playing up, if i turn it on full blast (cd,tape,radio) i can just about hear some noise, apart from that nothing. I have checked the connections at the back and they seem ok, somebody said it might be the amp, so i had a look behind the glovebox and there"s no amp there (then someone said the s model doesn"t have a amp)????? any help would be much appreicated :)

i have a 1999 is2oo & are trying to find the stereo amplifier, i was told it was in the passenger footwell, i've taken out the side piece of trim completely (the piece with the small access to the small fuse-box) still cant seem to find the amp, any help will be much appreciated... thanks!!! :duh:

HI, I HAVE A '99 IS 200, MY STEREO'S PACKED UP DUE TO A BLOWN AMP, WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP ON HOW TO REMOVE IT, CHECK IT AND GET A NEW ONE (WITH OUT HAVING TO PAY LEXUS PRICES...£400 PLUS FITTING). IS THERE A WAY I COULD FIT AN ALTERNATIVE CHEAPER AMP ETC.... CHEERS...
