  1. Problem's not with the new one (It's great, loving it and can't fault the dealer here). Problem is to do with my GS300 I traded in... To cut a long story short, they didn't settle the finance, so the finance company rightly got sticky and then fined me £60 for late settlement, the dealer owes me £84 (another long story), and top of that, I got a letter from DVLA saying the tax had expired and had not been renewed - sounds like they haven't returned the section on the V5. Problem is emails and phone calls were being ignored. So decided to let LUK sort it (hopefully) Sorry to hi-jack your thread Bardolphs.
  2. Dig your heels in. And if the dealer doesn't play ball, involve Lexus UK customer services. I have sadly had to open a case against Lexus Carlisle - Hopefully LUK will deal with.
  3. Well, I loved my Aztec Fire IS200. Shjh is right, the Aztec was replaced with the red (name forgets me) for 2002/52 onwards.
  4. Had my IS250 F-Sport Nav for just over a month now and loving driving it - it's a totally different beast to the GS300. It's a noisier, but I like the engine note that filters through just enough not to be annoying. It's also much firmer but again all the better for it and my weekly 200 mile round trips to Oban can be achieved with more fun. The car holds corners well and probably better than the 300 which was, of course, more geared to long distance motorway cruising. The engine is loosening off nicely having done 2500 miles already. So far no regrets at all at picking it over the C Class or A4. I will get round to putting up some pictures - hopefully over the Christmas holiday.
  5. Will the Windows Phone not stream media via BT like the iPhone?
  6. Are all-weather tyres a compromise or do they still tend to wear quickly?
  7. Softer compound, so yes, they will wear out quicker. Are they also rated for lower speeds? ?
  8. 0-60 times don't really tell the whole story though. I always found it brisk rather than fast off the line. You could always bolt on a supercharger?

  10. As a previous IS200 owner, all I'd say is go for it... Lexus got the engine note spot on with that brilliant straight six. The rest of the car just builds on top of that. Even today, I still think the Mark one IS looks modern. It was one of those cars that when I first saw it, I thought "I'm having one of those" - Road tested it, bought it same day. Will be totally different from your 4 pot oil burner, but all the better for it.
  11. And because this will take longer, the cost will rise.... as usual, nothing more than a revenue generating exercise for this government. Edit: Assuming of course the gov gets a cut!
  12. What about dealers that fail to settle outstanding finance on trade-ins? Just found out today my dealer has done (or not done!) just that. Appears to be a genuine mistake though, but still... not good enough.
  13. Can you post a screen shot of your postcode input screen? (not that we don't believe you, or anything!)
  14. I'd have thought a March 2011 reg would be the latest variant of the F-Sport.
  15. Only tip I've got really is keep your Lexus fully fuelled - adds weight over the rear wheels and made a real difference to me for the last couple of years.
  16. My (November) 2011 IS250 F-Sport has full postcode search. Works no problem at all.
  17. I wouldn't wipe my arse with Autoexpress. It's basically an advertorial for German cars.
  18. High servicing costs are par for the course with Japanese cars - an the 10K service intervals are a bit of a rip off.
