  1. Hello John, my nearest dealer is Snows Hedge End (who have been great) but you're right, Snows have taken over the previous Hendy Toyota and Lexus franchises. I understand there will be new side by side Toyota and Lexus showrooms in Yarrow Road in Tower Park, just along from the VW dealer, on the same side of the road. From the plans (on the council planning website), it looks very impressive. Not having visited the area for a while I'm not sure how construction is going or when they'll officially open but hope this helps.
  2. Your car looks like new Dave, it looks great and a very nice colour too. I wondered if it's Sonic Titanium. I agree about the service you get from Lexus Hedge End. I was their the other day and they had a 2016 GS F Sport in their covered used car area. It looked very smart. I thought the interior was much more 'traditional' Lexus and all the better for it with the nice clock and dashboard and door trims.
  3. I agree if you can get a great deal, it's worth going for it. The prices for nearly new, very low mileage (perhaps pre-reg) RZ's at some dealers seem very good. Some brokers are discounting the UXe by around 30% but am not sure if that level of discounting applies to the RZ. Bob is right that Lexus are in a difficult place with EV sales- I'd imagine there will be bigger incentives as the year progresses. Perhaps the rumoured reduction in the VAT rate to 10% on new EV's in next weeks Budget will help to increase demand.
  4. Hi All, I saw this interesting video yesterday. What a superb car- it got a glowing review.
  5. Thank you Mick- that's helpful. I've now looked at the Motability site again it says to contact your dealer if the preferred model isn't on their list but don't want to waste their time. It looks like it's the Premium Plus then. Thanks again.
  6. Happy New Year everyone, I'm looking into getting a car on the Motability scheme and the UXe remains on it for Q1. The only slight issue is 'my' current (company car) Takumi has the 360 degree camera and HUD which makes parking much easier. Perhaps understandably though, it's not on the Q1 2024 Price List- screenshot below. I just wondered if anyone had got a UXe on Motability and if you'd asked if was possible to select the Takumi grade. In view of the wording on the price list, I think the answer is likely to be 'no' but before I contact my local dealer thought I'd ask you. Thanks in advance. Best wishes, Chris
  7. Hi All, some interesting LBX reviews have appeared this morning: https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/lexus/lbx New Lexus LBX 2024 review: a small hybrid SUV that fails to stand out | Auto Express Best wishes, Chris This channel is worth a look too-
  8. Hi Steve, Snows have taken over Lexus and Toyota sales and service in Bournemouth/ Poole from Hendy. I think the tiny showroom in Poole is a Hendy 'specialist car' centre now. The new Toyota showroom will be right next to the new Lexus one. I used Hedge End and the service has been very good so far. Hope you're enjoying your Genesis, very nice car.
  9. Thanks Steve, I was pressed for time earlier otherwise I would have copied the wording. I'm not sure if you're near the new Snows Lexus showroom which, I think is opening soon, near Poole (Tower Park) but will hope to visit next time I'm in the area. From the plans online, it looks impressive.
  10. Dear All, this press release is on the Toyota/ Lexus Japanese newsroom. I wonder if the RZ300e will make it to Europe/ the U.K. Although it's in Japanese, a google translate to English option should hopefully appear. 11. Hello David, 'My' (company car) UXe had a rattle from the same area and it also appeared on rough, broken A roads. As the car is generally very quiet, it was especially noticeable. A UX Hybrid courtesy car also had the same issue so I do wonder if it's a more general fault. The dealer (Lexus Hedge End) put more felt/ padding in the UXe and it's been sorted- for now anyway. They were very helpful and receptive to getting it fixed and I hope you get your issue resolved too. I looked at a NX Plug-In when the car was in for it's last service- Terrane Khaki with tan interior and it looked great.
  12. Hi John, I've seen his video and you're right, he was. Auto Express liked it as well: New Lexus LM 2023 review | Auto Express
  13. Hi All, it seems that, generally, used EV prices are under pressure, but this RZ Premium Plus looks really good value. According to the Lexus configurator the list price is £68,500. When 'my' (company car) UXe was in for it's last service, there was an RZ Premium Plus in the showroom and it looked superb inside and out. If I could fit it into the garage, I'd love to own one. 14. Hi John, you may find this link below to a comparison of EV chargers in What Car? magazine helpful. I had a Hypervolt installed in the garage and it's been faultless. Best home EV chargers | What Car?
  15. Autotrader shows 4 pre facelift 2022 year Takumi hybrids with the older style infotainment screen and all have body coloured wheel arches as have quite a few F- Sport models of the same year, again pre facelift. These are links to just 2 of them. I think there were some small changes to the specification for 2022 which included coloured wheel arches for these trims. 2022 Green Lexus UX 250h 2.0 Takumi E-CVT Euro 6 (s/s) 5dr for sale for £36,995 in Ipswich, Suffolk (autotrader.co.uk) 2022 Grey Lexus UX Hatchback 250h 2.0 F-Sport 5dr CVT [Premium Plus/Sunroof] for sale for £34,021 in Guildford, Surrey (autotrader.co.uk)
  16. I think the pre facelift UX hybrid F Sport (not the F Sport Design) and Takumi trims had body coloured wheel arches. The UX electric has black plastic wheel arches, whether it's the pre 2023 long range model or not. Hope this helps. Thanks, Chris
  17. Hi Bill, It appears that Marshalls Lexus at Bristol is now a Listers dealership: Important information regarding Marshall Lexus | Marshall Motor Group Hope this link is helpful: Listers Lexus UK - New & Used Lexus Dealers Regards, Chris
  18. Hi Ken, many thanks for your helpful thoughts and the photo. The Terrane Khaki colour on both cars looks stunning.
  19. Dear All, I'm thinking about a possible replacement for 'my' (company car) UXe. The 360 camera is very helpful generally and although I could get an NX into the garage it's a bit tight as it's 16cm longer. I wondered how you find parking your NX and, if anyone has changed from a UX to an NX, have you noticed the extra size? When the car had it's last service at Lexus Hedge End, they had a NX350 in the showroom and it looked very impressive. Regards, Chris
  20. Hi Benjamin, Sorry for not replying before now. Glad to hear what I sent was helpful.' My' car is a company one so if/ when I retire, I'd really like another UXe as it's been great so far. There seem to be some really deals on used ones at Lexus dealers. Feel free to send some pictures of your car too.
  21. Hi Benjamin, Congratulations on your new car, pleased that you like it. Did you get it from a Lexus dealer? The Lexus app isn't the easiest to set up first of all although I've found it useful. I can't remember whether I had the same issue but did look at this page on the Lexus U.K. website. Lexus Link Setup and Support | Lexus UK Hope you find it helpful too. Chris
  22. Hi All, I've just watched this review of the RX450h. Matt Watson couldn't really find anything wrong with it! Thought you may find it of interest. Best wishes, Chris
  23. Hi all, I really like the head up display and I agree about the safety aspect. The 360 degree camera is so handy for parking and getting the car in the garage. The power tailgate is good too and the ventilated seats were handy in the very hot weather of last summer. The Mark Levinson sound system is great but I wish it had a cd player. I know it may be 'old fashioned' to have one nowadays but I miss it. I had a 2006 Honda Civic hybrid and that had a 6 cd autochanger- those were the days!
  24. Carfile discounts on the 2023 UXe are £4195 to £5059 too. Having had a look at Autotrader, Mercedes are offering a £9000 deposit contribution on 'used' EQC models, including nearly new which are already heavily discounted. I think Lexus will have to discount too given the general price reductions of (some) EV's but could be wrong!
  25. Agreed- it's discounted by 4% on Autoebid- £2500 to £3000.
