  1. Hi Graham Please tell us more about colour coded reversing sensors with pics if possible. Anthony
  2. Hi Keith Welcome to the Lexus Owners Club and the SC430 forum. We love pics on here so the more you include the better! Your car looks fantastic 👌 . I would have preferred the black interior and the wheels are terrific, I'd swap. Anthony
  3. Well done Richard, I'm impressed! My unit is not right currently, all of a sudden CD's do not play. I play CD's frequently and therefore miss this function greatly. I could remove the unit but delving into it to locate and repair a fault is, I feel, outside my comfort zone. Would you consider helping other members who are having problems as many, like me would truly appreciate it, and also be happy to show our appreciation! Anthony
  4. Many of us stayed in the Premiere Inn which was very close to the Bear Inn where we held the meetings. I think everyone was impressed with both of them and can't wait for the 2024 event. It was such a pleasure to see and chat with old friends and new. No competition just SC430 owners enjoying conversations, comparing notes and having fun! I did not see any Soarers this year but we appeared to have an increase in the amount of SC's present. We must thank Juan for organising the weekend and for appearing to help and assist everyone's enquiries. Thanks to Bill for sharing his mechanical expertise to the needy, even if the use of an angle grinder and sledge hammer appeared excessive! 🤣 Dr Will took drone footage of the vehicles which is available on utube, and we are grateful to him for that and all the others who made long journeys to be there. Finally, thanks to Lexiguy Junior (my Tom) for encouraging the drivers of all cars to park in lines, so they looked an impressive display.
  5. Hi Glyn I am sorry that I didn't get around to speaking to you today as I wanted to ask you for a link to find the clear bumper light units you bought on ebay. Thanks, Anthony
  6. Saturday was a good day, most ladies going together to do retail therapy in Coventry, leaving the men to talk SC430! Let's hope Sunday is better!
  7. Hi Mike Welcome to the SC430 forum on Lexus Owners Club. I hope you enjoy our group and you always have plenty of SC owners to chat to. It is always difficult to choose a venue which will suit all and Coventry appears to be fairly central for the members who attend. Hopefully there will be many SC's and their owners here and it is always good to put a face to a name. See you Sunday. Anthony
  8. The car park at The Bear is ready and waiting for the sound of the throbbing heartbeat of V8 engines!
  9. Hi Guys Yes!!! The Lexus SC430 and Soarer meeting is definitely on this weekend. Everyone is welcome even if you are not going to arrive in a SC430! It will be great to meet all the new faces and cars as well as the regulars. On Saturday there will be various workshops including popular ones like the fitting of modifications supplied by Calvin at SC430MODS.COM. On Sunday there will be the main event and a display of the finest and well loved vehicles in our class. There is a big carpark at the venue and there are several hotels in the vicinity. If anyone has any questions or needs any further help, do not hesitate to contact me. It would be helpful for the organisers to know who is intending to join us and what days. Please let Juan know on the Facebook group or me on here. Regards, Anthony
  10. Thanks Jack, great info!
  11. Thanks Jack but I do not Facebook
  12. The elasticated net which clips onto the carpet on the passenger side has become all saggy and I wonder if anyone has ever sourced a replacement? Do lexus still do them? Are the dealer only? Anthony
  13. Nobody seems too concerned about using indicators around here! Perhaps they figure that other road users will enjoy second guessing their intentions.
  14. Hi Nick I agree about the improvement in responsiveness and performance but I think it is not the amount boxes or the configuration of the exhaust but more to do with the quality and skill of its manufacture and fitment! Ant
  15. Hi Nico Who needs music with a soundtrack like that! Anthony
  16. Hi Guys Just to add to what has been said about Tony Banks, I had a system fitted by them 12 months ago. It is a father and son business and I was highly delighted and the lifetime guarantee gives longterm confidence. A quality product and quality workmanship. He asked me what I wanted it to sound like and they absolutely nailed it! Anthony
  17. Hi Guys When fitting the rings into the carpet I got a special tool which worked brilliantly see pictures! It wasn't expensive so if anyone is interested I can bring it to the Lexus meet later in the month in Coventry! Anthony 🤣
  18. Well done Perry! 👍 Will we see it in June?
  19. Hi guys Yes the event will go as planned 😊 I will speak to Juan this week and post more information by the weekend. Anthony 👍
  20. Yes, my wife Claire will be chauffeuring me and Tom (Lexiguy Junior) down on Friday teatime and back Sunday afternoon. Gutted because we will be in her car, a silver Suzuki Swace. Beggers can't be choosers 🤣
  21. I have just spoken to the DVLA this morning to ask for progress on the return of my licence which should have been 23 May. By my calculations of the process it would appear that it could be the end of August before its returned 😒😒😒
  22. Hi Guys I have been fed up with the front mats creeping forwards and finally got around to sorting it. The problem was no plastic rings in the holes in the carpet for them to clip securely into. At some stage the must have been pulled out. This job is definitely within the skill set of a beginner. I ordered hooks and plastic rings on ebay. I took both front seats out by removing the 4 bolts and unplugging the 3 electrical connectors. Then out comes the seats and they are a heavy lumps. I pulled off the door sill protector which has a plug to disconnect for the Lexus illumination on the strip. Unclipped the carpet and the real job could commence! While out it is an ideal time to do a proper clean of the carpet, which is now spotless and the seats. Find the two factory holes in the carpet and put one plastic disc under the carpet and the other on top, then clip them together, I used a glue gun to stop any repeat problems. Rebuild in the reverse order and job done! The Lexus mat on the drivers side looks worn and scruffy so that's now on the future purchases list. Anthony
  23. Hi Guys I bought a small tool from Lidl last week to allow me to remove some screws in the home which had very limited access. It did not fit and and I thought another fiver wasted! But who would have thought that it is actually a Lexus SC430 special tool! It is ideal for the small screws that hold the trim and wheel arch liner to the front wing for access. No more wheel off or wheel turning one way and the other. It is made by Parkside and packed in a small box, the quality is not Snap On but it works brilliantly. You know the ones....they need removing when front bumper is to be taken off 👍
  24. Wait until you get the exhaust done, you will be listening to that instead 😅
  25. Hi Perry My front and rear parking sensors have a circular speaker about 3cm in diameter which has multiple holes is its face. I think black insulation tape is a winner as you could adjust the tape over the correct amount of holes until the sound level is perfect for you. Anthony
