  1. ....That's what I was thinking🤔, yes.... stepladders and a garden hose🤣🤣🤣
  2. All the best Ash, please post some pics of your journey with the IS300H😎👍
  3. The rattle will be more audible from outside, especially with the poor quality road surfaces and potholes. The heatshield clearance is still huge when the engine is up to operating temperature🙄
  4. Hi, Incredibly for a Company with an exceptional build quality reputation...... This rattly heat shield was designed to have that level of "play" and it is normal😮. I was tempted to fit additional washers to ensure it doesn't rattle when cold...... incedentally the reason from salesman was to give enough room for "thermal expansion"..... My 05 IS300 Sportcross has no such design features!
  5. Hi Eddie, All the part number info is above on the thread...... 4 in total, 2 on each bank of 3 cylinders....one, pre and one post-cat. Fault codes should identify which are faulty. Hope you get it sorted soon. My O2 sensor issue was resolved after the mechanic changed both on bank one... but the fault still persisted... it turned-out there was a short in the connector too, so all was good once this was diagnosed and fixed. Engine management light now behaving🥳 Cheers and Happy New Year everyone!😎👍
  6. Thanks for this info Colin, really appreciate the reply!.... Not sure what the actual code letters/ numbers were (it was a "snap-on" diagnostic computer).... It was definitely bank 1, cylinders 1-3, so both sensors were changed, but after getting the car back, the fault returned. Just heard today that all is well and it was an intermittant contact on the 2nd sensor (after the cat) connector pins, causing the fault to display. Mechanic has been excellent and can't wait to get it back tomorrow....£40 for lots of checks and peace of mind....priceless! cheers 😎👍
  7. .....has anyone had 'O2' sensor replacement issues?... my '05' IS300 sportcross is showing O2 sensor fault codes and i am trying to source the correct ones by my mechanic....Lexus main dealer have been called but they don't have that in-depth knowledge (or are deliberately being unhelpful)? Lexus parts are x3 more expensive! Changed 2 (pre and post cat) on the 1st bank and same fault is still showing.... Car is still driving like a dream (with the engine warning light illuminated) and only 92k miles, with 2 x cam belt changes and fairly recent spark plug changes (2020), love this car!
  8. Will do similar as the state of the roads makes it clatter occasionally🙄
  9. .......P.S..... This might be the most popular thread?..... I have a rant of my own to share!😯
  10. I'll guess first, given my experience of my 1st two visits at my local Lexus dealership.......hopefully, i'm way out (over)....£400?
  11. Could it be a loose heat shield?......the manifold HS in my IS300h is very loose, by desigh, according to Lexus Glasgow....to allow for expansion.....🤔....if only crinkle or single coil washers had been invented to overco.e such a phenomenon🙄, come on Lexus, my 17 year old IS300 has no such design feature🤓👎
  12. Welcome and enjoy, when it arrives....You have youtube to keep you busy in the meantime to get "familiar" with the controls and tech and watch all the reviews🤗.
  13. Welcome Philip, lovely looking IS300 and hope you have many years of reliable enjoyment, it's a great car!
  14. Thanks gor the feedback guys.....i checked it when hot and still loose....will contact Lexus Glasgow. (I am planning to get the Lexus fitted front and rear dashcam fitted soon, so a perfect opportunity to report this). Cheers😎👍
