  1. Hi Ez, I bought the following: Air Con Condenser fits LEXUS RX400h MHU38 3.3 04 to 08 3MZ-FE AC Conditioning on ebay from carpartsinmotion but it no longer appears to be listed. However, the invoice details are: Product SKU: 6435898RMP, item description: NRF Air Con Condenser 35857. Hope this helps. Dave.
  2. Update: My Lexus now has a new engine radiator and a new air con condenser. Re-assembly was a lot easier than removal as both units were fitted as a pair and all of the bolts were well lubricated. I only needed to elongate a couple of holes on the hybrid radiator mounting brackets by about 1mm to permit fixing to the new air con condenser. Regassing: My local air con specialist quoted £50 but they claim to use only one type of oil for all cars and that is a non-conductive oil. However, my local Toyota main dealer quoted £99 for ND11. It's decision time!
  3. Thanks for that Colin. I looked under Cooling/Heating but didn't think to look under Engine/Service Kits. Much appreciated.
  4. More dimensions of my existing condenser. If the replacement unit meets the 686mm dimension then it should fit but still waiting for replies. Anyone know where I might fit the part number of my existing condenser?
  5. Dear Forum, I need to replace the air con condenser in my 2007 Lexus RX400h SE-L CVT, reg. 3311cc, 155kW, VIN/Chassis No: JTJHW31UX02019581, ENGINE No: 3MZ0465342. The condensers I've seen advertised measure 656mm across the core whereas mine measures 673mm with an overall width of 695mm. Does anyone have any experience of fitting a 656mm condenser in place of a 673mm one? The advertisers are willing to sell me one but are not willing to confirm if suitable. Thanks for your help. Dave.
  6. Herbie, you are a star! Worked a treat. Thank you. Thanks Barry14UK. Interesting stuff. Re Advanced Radiators Ltd, they replied to my emails regarding suitability of one of their products almost by return. However, when I emailed them for confirmation of their 5 year guarantee and terms and conditions of the guarantee, as it is not mentioned in their website Ts & Cs - no reply. After 3 days still no reply so I conclude no 5 year guarantee either!
  7. Hi All, I also need to replace the radiator on my 2007 RX400h and I'm looking at Advanced Radiators Ltd, Tyne and Wear, who are offering a 5 year guarantee. Pricey but I'm hoping it will last. Has anyone had any experience of this company and their products? While checking the screws and bolts securing the radiator, I've found the two 8mm screws/bolts at the bottom of the air con and main radiators are seized solid. Any advice, please, on how to remove them? Would drilling the heads off get me anywhere? Many thanks.
  8. Thank you all for your replies and your views on this subject. Aviva stated "If the vehicle has been modified after it has left the factory then you will need to include these modifications on your policy." So I would need to inform them if I changed the make/type of tyre? The good news is that LV= have covered me for just under £250 which I can't grumble about. I have taken on board your comments so I will be approaching my renewal in a different way in 12 months time. Very grateful for all of your help. David.
  9. Bought my 07 RX400h last August and it's now time for annual insurance renewal. Online comparison sites produced quotes from £188 fully comp (yes, I am of that age and retired!!). Assuming insurance companies will use any excuse to wriggle out of paying in the event of a claim, I advised them that front parking (not driving) light bulbs and reversing light bulbs had been replaced with LED types (low wattage). These are obviously classed as a major modifications. Aviva (cheapest) declined cover. Still waiting for responses from others but Adrian Flux will cover for around £400! Carry a set of original bulbs in case of an accident? Really? Do I have to revert to the original bulbs? Suggestions please. Many thanks.
  10. Update. I've now bought and fitted a set of PW456-00000. They are, as stated by ColinBarber, listed as the replacement for the GBNGA-EV907-B. They are smaller than the normal nut would you believe and weigh in at 77g so there will be an improvement in balance. Removing the original locking wheel nuts, I found that they were nowhere near as tight as the normal nuts - not loose, but far easier to remove. Thanks again for your assistance and advice - much appreciated. Dave.
  11. Thanks everyone for your help. I shall be contacting the garage tomorrow. I've just checked the weight of the remaining lock nuts vs the standard wheel nuts: 102g vs 85g! Oh dear! Dave.
  12. Hi Everyone, Just joined the LOC as I've just purchased my first Lexus. I did not expect to have to call for help so soon but I am in need of a locking wheel nut of type GBNGA-EV907-B, just the nut, not the key. Car driven less than 50 miles following MOT and discovered locking wheel nut missing! If push comes to shove, then I will buy a complete set but I'm hoping that you knowledgeable people will know if individual locking wheel nuts are available. Thanks for your assistance, Dave.
  13. Hi everyone, Just joined the LOC having purchased my first Lexus last week - an RX400h SE-L - to replace my ageing and tired CR-V. OK, so the boot is smaller but in my case, the test drive sold it. Apart from the boot - no comparison. The private seller had it MOT'd prior to collection (passed no problem) but having driven it less than 50 miles home, I discovered a locking wheel nut missing! The garage had either not replaced the locking wheel nut or had not tightened it! A safe, roadworthy car was delivered to the garage and an unsafe, un-roadworthy car returned with a full MOT! Sorry about the moan. I'm just miffed that the car is sat on the drive, unable to be driven. One day ........... Cheers, Dave.
