You better contact SatNaviShop with your question, HERE. I've a very good experience with them as I explained earlier in this topic. If you explain your situation (they need a photo of your navi setup screen) then your issue will be solved I'm sure.
-
It's still unclear if you have the standard navi (update using an usb stick) or the premium navi (you need a new sd card). Please post a photo of your navi setup screen, where the version of the map and the software are visible.
-
No, as I told earlier in this topic: my version prior to the update was for the map 02-39-00 and for the software VE94100B. These previous map and software version were the initial installed versions when I bought the car.

It's not really clear to me what you mean by this question, but I just ordered THIS map for my 2020 IS300h (so, CY15: Gen9 version), and installed it from the setup screen. After some time the update completed without any troubles, and the new card (02-42-50) + software (VE94102A) were installed. I understand in your case the update crashed and now you've visited the dealer who is waiting for instructions from Lexus, am I correct?
-
Ah yes, this folding mirror topic with all the wiring issues that were required for the RHD. You finally solved this, and now enjoy the folding mirrors every day when you lock your car?

I don't know if the 13CY 2022-2023 files can be downloaded, but the 2021-2022 files can be found e.g. HERE. But, as I told you, these are only the files of the maps. You need a license code to update your navi with them.
-
I don't think you can install the map without a license code. This unique code is generated from the unique ID number in your navi setup screen, which you must provide to your dealer (or Satnavishop). They can generate the unique license code (that is based on your ID number) which you must enter to continue the installation.

My version before the update was: Map version: 02-39-00 and Software version: VE94100B and after the Gen9 update the display shows: Map version: 02-42-50 and Software version: VE94102A

So when you hit the Start button, the navigation screen pops up and the update continues with a "2 minutes left" message, and that's it? The update doesn't continue from there? It might help to copy the files to a new (FAT32) formatted USB stick and try to see if the update continues with this new USB stick. I also updated my IS300h with the Gen9 update and it installed correctly. So I suspect a faulty USB stick...
-
So you ordered both since you weren't sure which one to use, and did some trial and error with both of them?
-
As I understand there's a slight difference in the appearance of the menu between Gen8 and Gen9 (as you stated yourself: the Gen8 does have these squares), but I assume the navigation maps for Gen8 and Gen9 are the same.

https://www.satnavishop.co.uk/lexus-25-c.asp THIS one for CY13 non-premium navi (GEN8) THIS one for CY15 non-premium navi (GEN9)

In my case it's a map update and a minor software update. Don't know what exactly is updated in the software. The map looks the same to me, so I guess it's mainly an update with new roads.

I still find it strange that you have to pay for the map update of a built-in navigation. Before I had my Lexus I had several Volvo's with built-in navigation, for which I could download a FREE map update every year.

Mine still had a map version from 2018, so it was about time for an update. I've been waiting for the 2023 version, which was released a few weeks ago. I first inquired at the dealer whether this was a free update (since my car is not yet three years old), but it was not. They needed the car on location (one hour drive for me) and they would charge me 190 euros. So I took the plunge and tried Satnavshop, for less than a third of that amount. And as one wrote: the update succeeded. I still wonder how Satnavshop can sell this update for such a lower price than the Lexus dealer.
-
Yes, that is for the Premium Navi. I have the non-Premium Navi. That one is shipped on usb stick, or you can choose to download it from the provided link and create your own usb stick (which I did).
-
Like I told you, it's not a scam. I ordered my map update some weeks ago and received the new map (as a download in my case), and - as I wrote - the support I requested.

I recently ordered the 2022/2023 navi update for my IS300h from Satnavishop. I chose the download and extracted the download to my own USB stick. I had no problems with the download and the update was successful. Since I had some questions, I emailed the guy and he usually replied within hours. Did you order from the right site (it is: https://www.satnavishop.co.uk)? And did he ask you to email a photo of your navigation settings screen when you placed the order (because they need to know your map ID)?

Poor car kit voice sound quality

FAT32... NTFS... wrong topic perhaps? 😉 -
Poor car kit voice sound quality
John Nooij replied to John Nooij's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Thanks, I will try this. Current transmit volume level is +5, so I will decrease this during a call while driving. Do you know if this changed volume level is saved for future calls, or should you reduce this with every call you make since there's no setting for this transmit volume to set a default. -
Poor car kit voice sound quality
John Nooij replied to John Nooij's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
I found the location of the microphone, it is simply indicated in the manual (I should have looked into it first). And I also found the volume control during the conversation, but it is already set to maximum. I did some more tests and it turns out that when the car is stationary, people can hear my voice perfectly; so that's not the problem. It is during a conversation while driving that my voice is completely drowned out by a loud noise. So it seems to be a problem with the noise canceling perhaps? My car is (as we know from Lexus) very quiet while driving, but the car kit microphone apparently amplifies the noise unusually loud. -

Any idea where the microphone is located in the IS ? -
In the 1.5 years that I've been driving my IS300h, I've hardly used my bluetooth car kit, but last week I had to call some people. What I heard from all callers was that they could hardly hear me, my voice was very soft and they heard a noise that almost drowned out my voice. I could hear the called person perfectly through the Lexus speakers, the volume was also adjustable. I wonder if the volume of my microphone can also be adjusted? Where is this microphone located by the way? I don't have a problem with the bluetooth pairing of the phone and car. All functions work, it's just the poor quality of my calls that's bothering me. The people I made a phone call to know I drive a Lexus, so must have frowned... 😕 Is something wrong with my car kit, or is this another "normal" shortcoming of the Lexus multimedia, compared to other brands?

12v Battery replaced today under warranty
John Nooij replied to Bounce75's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
The 12V battery in my 2019 IS300h has been replaced a few months ago, under warranty. I couldn't start the car and an message about the hybrid system that has stopped and shift to "P" appeared on the display. Replacing the battery solved this.
