  1. Sometimes I think Lexus is a self curing brand. I remember to have once a BDSM error in RCF until I started engine again. Error disappeared and never occurred again. Mystery:)
  2. I got a response from RR racing and they didn’t do nor sell anything for my car. After searching for few hours I got all facts right this time. All mods are done by iCode in my car. So my 2 pieces brakes are iCode not RR. Same with suspension, exhaust, intake, speed delimiting, map(?) etc All done by iCode in Japan and it makes sense now.
  3. I had this in my RCF 3-4 times during 2 years ownership. No reason for that, during cruise. It always disappeared very quickly, after few seconds. I checked oil level and it was fine. I guess it can be an oil level sensor fault. Take a picture and try to chase Lexus for warranty repair:) I asked Lexus about this issue and they told me that if nothing is on display when the car was with them then no fault...
  4. Company fees, purchase fees + shipping will be at least £3000 + 10% duty, 20% vat and few other fees in UK. Actually I think it is pointless to import any is350 to UK and as mentioned above much cheaper will be to buy here. Unless it is some special edition, supercharged etc 🙂
  5. I have been playing with suspension adjustment today to check max comfort and max track setups and I found an interesting info on dampers. They have iCode signature on them. Quick check online and it says that LEMS sells them for $4960 ?! Can someone explain me please why is this so expensive to buy? What is so special here as I thought that is a standard bilstein kit for £1-2k max. And I have no background with suspension upgrades hence my question. Pictures to show what I am talking about.
  6. I tested mine today in sport mode and it shifts at 6800 every time. Only in manual I revs to around 7100 so I don't know. In manual you can go to 6800 max?
  7. If you want 2015 IS250 F Sport in Red let me know. 73000 miles. Not planning to list it anywhere. Cheers
  8. Depends on being a grown man or still a bit of a race boy? RCF is a mature choice. I would have chosen Supra/M2 in my 20's but no chance now at 38 or any later.
  9. Just a quick question to other ISF users: when you play in manual mode what is a RPM cut off? I can go to 7100-7200 so not sure if others have same or not. I was just wondering if Japanese owner bought brakes only or remapped it too with RR.
  10. So finally my V5 arrived today and car has done first 50 miles around Swansea. Very comfortable ride on E12 suspension. I would say it dampens very similar to our 2015 is250 f sport which is fine too. Nothing harsh at all. The titanium exhaust, as expected is something different to all V8's I have had before. Nice and deep, no drone at all at any speed or RPM's (particularly tested around 2k rpm you all know why). On full throttle additionally to v8 scream it's getting some sort of metallic(?) rasp. Absolute heaven. The car is very solid, no knocks, seat heating stronger than in IS mk3. Cruise control has limit of 70mph. Top speed untested yet as it's raining today. RR Racing brakes are in a different league as expected (hence price?). At first I thought wind deflectors are aftermarket but saw Lexus logo on them today so they must have been factory fitted. They sit tight. Comparing to my ex RCF: -engine and gearbox are like same, no eco mode in ISF, sport button on steering wheel which is tempting to press all the time. - exterior RCF wins all day because it is fresh looking coupe and people notice it a lot, head turner. I believe RCF lights are stronger/better due to LED technology. ISF is a sleeper which is important to me and big positive. - interior I prefer in ISF including seats and simple in use touchscreen. Touchpad in RCF or joystick in IS mk3 are both a joke and I avoided them like a plague. Definitely more space at the rear, kids jump in and out no problem. They said ISF is comfortable for them there and better seating position that RCF. It also has a sunroof so something new for me. Bad bits(not the car itself) : so far I can only complain about the insurance. I did spend 5 hours on phone trying to get quotes. No main insurers as they cannot see this car (maybe need to wait few weeks for updated database). For 2014 they only recognise 250 or 300h versions and that's it. The same with comparison sites, ISF's up to 2013 only so cannot go any further than main site. Registration number not recognised yet on their websites. I got 3 quotes at the end. The most expensive Adrian Flux £1720 which I laughed at. The cheapest I got and went for was from japcover.co.uk £899. Maybe there are some cheaper quotes around but I went with them as could not hesitate a second longer after seeing this car on my driveway for the last 6 weeks! I quickly started a quote for my ex RCF just to see what would it be and cheapest was £1105 from Admiral (was £680 in March 2023). I know they are different cars but in current conditions it seems a bit sweeter for ISF (£320 tax + £899 insurance compared to £695 and £1105 for RCF). PS There was a £905 quote for RCF but it was "Admiral Little Box"... I still cannot stop laughing :)
  11. In my ISF all mechanical buttons are in English, around 50% menu is in English (the most important functions at least). Radio frequency up to 90.00MHz but there are quite cheap expanders for like £30-£50 and Im going to try one. I know zero Japanese and it took me 20 seconds to connect iPhone via Bluetooth so it is not as bad as people are afraid of.
  12. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/354890756050?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=GyzWWRabSVe&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=7zneazfbtcu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY ML version. That’s the one you are looking for.
  13. You have a standard unit. Plenty of them on eBay UK and very cheap. Good thing is you can record on hdd anytime:)
  14. I mean, I am happy he didn’t agree for anything near £16k for his that’s all. Otherwise I wouldn’t get a car I had bought. No bad feelings here. My top offer would have been £16.5k for his and I doubt anyone pays similar money few months later.
