Lexus fitted front and rear cameras to my NX450+ and I never had a problem with DAB or indeed anything else.

NX 2023 delivery date
John Adams replied to Chance521's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h Club
I bought my RZ in June 23 and I got the second key and locking wheel nuts in January. Might be a bit quicker now -
What Car range test
John Adams replied to John Adams's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
Bob, well it could be worse. At least second hand prices have remained stable for the last 2 weeks. Mine is still worth 40k after 9 months!. That's if you could find somebody to take it off you. My dealers says they are reluctant to take any RZ's in px at the moment. That's confidence for you. -
It goes off automatically after a few days.

Lane Change & Chargers in Sat Nav
John Adams replied to wivenhoe's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
Bob the only time it worked for me was when there was nothing behind me on the motorway. Just a gimmick to me. You don't have to manually enter chargers as POI. You just go into the menu once and say what you want- could be restaurants, petrol stations or whatever and it always displays them on the map. My map always shows icons for ev chargers wherever I am -
Lane Change & Chargers in Sat Nav
John Adams replied to wivenhoe's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
Bob. the lane change function is available in the RZ but I've yet to get it to work satisfactory. I also had it in the NX 450+ Takumi I sold last year and that worked some of the time. The idea is you hold the indicator stalk down lightly part way and if the road is clear it moves you over. Most of the time a a message on the screen says function not available or something like that. With regards chargers, you can add them in the map as -I think- POI and if you press it will navigate you to it. I had a low battery warning come on the other day and it automatically came up with a list of chargers which it would navigate to. As you say, it didn't tell you if they are available. -
What Car range test
John Adams replied to John Adams's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
Bob, I'm looking at the Telegraph now but I can't see the article in the car section. Can you point me in the right direction? Forget it, I've just found it. Senior moment I'm afraid -
Rz 450e range and miles per kWh?
John Adams replied to Blancy1's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
Every new Lexus I have bought has had the tyres overinflated on pick up. The RZ pressures should be 2.6 bar front and 2.4 bar rear. At the handover I checked and they were 2.9 bar all round. I mentioned this and they took it to the workshop to adjust and they came back at 2.7 bar all round which they say is the manufacturers spec. It's not so I gave up and adjusted myself as I always do after pick up. As for things being checked at the PDI, well that's a story for another day! -
Rz 450e range and miles per kWh?

I would be amazed if they lower the VAT rate to 10% on new ev's but you never know. -
Rz 450e range and miles per kWh?

If you can get one with a huge discount it's a no brainer. But do not pay list price or anywhere near that. -
Rz 450e range and miles per kWh?
John Adams replied to Blancy1's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
Yes, first ev. Am I pleased with my Lexus?. Short answer is no for many reasons I won't go into here but my previous posts highlight some of the issues. Suffice to say Lexus should never have put this car on sale with the numerous issues it has had. The software update has made a significant improvement which they could have done last April and would probably have made a difference to my view. -
You are so right Paul. I've just had my council tax bill for the new year and they have put a £30 levy to help fund their gold plated pensions. Yet my private pension was reduced after a certain Mr Brown withdrew dividend tax credit all those years ago which finished off DB pension in the private sector years ago. I know this is not the place for this type of conversation but it annoys me that I have to fund a gold plated public sector pension out of my reduced private sector pension. Rant over and mods feel free to delete my post if you think it is inappropriate.

Rz 450e range and miles per kWh?
John Adams replied to Blancy1's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
Did a 100 mile trip from Bristol yesterday mainly motorway at a steady 60mph. 8 deg temperature and raining most of the way so wipers, ac and lights on. Worked out at 2.9miles/kwh which I thought was good for this car in these conditions. On a previous trip from the Reading area a couple of weeks before in better conditions again mostly motorway I got 3.2miles/kwh. Since the update I have also been getting up to 3.5miles/kwh from local driving which I got nowhere near before so overall pleased with the update which has made a significant difference. -
Range test of 12 ev's including UX300 e and RZ 450e. No prizes guessing what came last. Albeit this was before the new software update for the RZ although I expect the result wouldl be similar

Charging port lid
John Adams replied to SamHe's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
I have always had to press mine in the middle to get it to close and sometimes it takes a couple of goes. Didn't realise it was a known issue so your dealer is obviously better than mine as they told me it was normal. I'll mention it again when I go in. Surprised you are getting the locking wheel nuts so quick. Mine are not available yet and I've had the car since last June. Just another thing to mention to the dealer -
Full Charge is only 210 miles

Yes, I found out today and i'm having it done tomorrow -
Taking the plunge in to EV
John Adams replied to ivancrx's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
Thanks Colin for rubbing it in! I'm told by Lexus CS that the imminent software update will "significantly improve the range and useability of the car". I hope they are right because this long term Lexus owner is very annoyed with Lexus for releasing this car for sale without the updates they have had in the pipeline since last April. -
Full Charge is only 210 miles
John Adams replied to MikeD1948's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
Bob, I wish I could get anywhere near that. We went to Tesco this morning 9 miles away in 30/40mph roads. No aircon but heated seat/radiant heater on and in eco mode. Got 2.4miles/kwh. The dealer says this is normal. I think I will get him to look at this forum again then perhaps he might take me seriously. -

John Adams replied to MikeD1948's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
Yours should do slightly better milage than the Takumi I have. At the moment on roughly 10 mile local trips at 30/40mph I am getting 2.2miles/kwh which implies a range of about 140 miles. Last week I did a 120mile round trip mostly on motorway and A roads at 60mph and I got 2.4miles/kwh which implies a range of around 154 miles which is not brilliant -

That's interesting Bob. I've never seen a range of 200 miles on mine fully charged even in the the summer months. -

John Adams replied to MikeD1948's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
At the moment, a full charge in mine shows 178 miles. Since new, it has never shown more than 196 miles in warmer weather. Which model do you have? -
It would get my vote for worse Lexus of the year by far.

UX 300e range problem
John Adams replied to Gary-M's topic in Lexus UX200, UX250, UX250h, UX300e Club
Lexus use CCS on the RZ. It is a mystery to me why they stuck with Chademo when they made all the useful upgrades to the 300e. If the 300e used CCS I would have probably bought one instead of the RZ -
UX 300e range problem
John Adams replied to Gary-M's topic in Lexus UX200, UX250, UX250h, UX300e Club
That's probably one of the best reasons I've seen for a buying a 300e. That started my day off with a laugh! -
