  1. Yep, some numptys (like me ) paid over £400 for their parking sensors..........and then found out they weren't even Lexus OEM ones If anyone needs the instructions for this PM me an email address, I should have them in PDF format on my other PC.
  2. Might do a six-monther this year, would expire end of January and keep me on the cheaper side of the Budget.
  3. GS300: 281g/km (just checked my V5). For those interested, the list of duty can be found on page 122 of this document. Darling? B***ard more like. I wouldn't be surprised if this costs them the election, they've gone too far this time. Between this, fuel and those damned scamera vans, it's daylight robbery.
  4. Ouch, that's nasty. Keep it up and I'll be making up the difference by getting my own LPG tank and paying 20p a litre - sod the duty.
  5. Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 all round on mine. Good, fairly quiet tyres, long lasting too! A bonus is that they're what I'd call orientational rather than directional, in other words they have an "inside" and an "outside". This means that the wheels can be rotated around the car (or you can use one as a spare) and they're always facing the right way.
  6. Would you by any chance know if the GPS in a 2007 Lexus ES 350 uses a DVD+R DL or a DVD-R DL? Thank you. I'd expect the setup to be similar to what the Xbox360 (allegedly) requires, namely a DVD+R DL with the booktype set to DVDROM. A Pioneer burner will set the booktype to DVDROM anyway.
  7. Hmmm... Canada: you'll freeze Dubai: you'll cook USA: you'll get shot New Zealand/Australia: if it hops, crawls, slithers or lives in the sea, chances are it can kill you Seriously though, Canada does sound nice and is one place I'd certainly consider. You already know the language as well, so that's a bonus.
  8. I know it'll be different, but in my Mk.2 the driver's side one is screwed to the side of the air filter box, the passenger side one is stuck down on the flat metalwork behind the headlight.
  9. Sony don't make things that last anymore. I've seen an FD Trinitron (flat CRT) with a pink screen 'cos it's on its way out already, that's ridiculous from such a "premium" brand. As for PS2s, just take a look on eBay. Oh, and when Dell and Apple recalled their laptop batteries, let's not forget who made the cells inside...
  10. I had this on my first GS, made it embarassing to turn into junctions, etc. if there were people around to hear it! In my case it was the lower ball joints. Bought replacements from Sewells in Dallas, TX. Had them fitted by local Toyota dealer.
  11. Same goes for plug-in ones at home. ONE WAY UP. On their side they'll leak and attack plastics (such as, in my case, the 4-way trailing socket that it was plugged into and the UPS that the 4-way was sitting on top of). Catalytic embrittlement I think is the term. Crumbly plastic is the result.
  12. I ban johnboy for living so close to the next JAE venue, and for giving so few reasons to ban him otherwise.
  13. I'd get a local mechanic to do it, you don't want to pay Lexus rates for work like that. Even a Toyota dealer (who'd be familiar with the engine) would be cheaper than that.
  14. I ban Spikes for forgetting to capitalise and punctuate when he banned Einstein.
  15. I ban aztecbandit1 for banning Einstein when he's in bed and can't fight back.
  16. relegation (or Rela for short if you live in Kidderminster)
  17. Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!
  18. Best of luck in any case. Where will you go now, that Bentley dealership up the road's about the only one that ain't Holdcroft!
  19. I ban Stav for having a numberplate that clearly belongs on some chav's Beemer!
