  1. Just a note of appreciation, this. Mostly informative stuff on this forum, there seems to be very little in the way of how much these magnificent cars are appreciated. My Rx350 is 15 years old now, it just took me and my family, and a massive load of luggage, to Cornwall and back, and it felt a car brand new from the showroom. Eight hours to get there, six hours back, I was barely fatigued because I was so comfortable. Driving my Rx350 is absolute heaven.
  2. They say they post high definition photos of the car for sale - they don't say when those photos were taken, or digitally altered. The car in the Image looks brand new, I doubt it is an accurate reflection of how the car looks now. I heard that if you use nr sheen, it even wd40, an old and ropey looking car will look lovely long enough to hoodwink someone.
  3. Just purchased these from direct 4x4 and fitted them - splendid com, very easy to deal with. Very prompt with advice and spares.
  4. Never mind how that happened - it was already on the car. At least that's story I'm sticking with.
  5. Does anyone know the part number for this bent bar? It is rear left hand, photo taken from rear of car. Thank you!
  6. I was indeed, I should have said that my Brother in Law has also used the same chap many years ago, so he has been in his industry for a long time. I have used the towbar and all good.
  7. Further to the last, of course my rx350 is a 2007, not a 2097 model.
  8. I have a 2097 rx350 on which I had a two bar fitted by three counties leisure - did the whole job on my drive. Electrics, too.
  9. I know this subject has been broached many times, and there has even been talk of a database of some sort, anyway, I had to take my beloved RX350 to a real mechanic yesterday, and I was extremely happy - the chap I question is called Joe Haynes and is an independent Toyota specialist, his garage is called Toyotech in Chadderton,Oldham. Address and phone number available on the internet. Honest, competent, not a RIP off.
  10. Oh...😳I must admit I feel a bit silly, not having the faintest idea what it was. Thank you Herbie, I shall replace it then.
  11. I noticed my rh one of these appears to have snapped - I didn't know what it was. My rx350 doesn't have air suspension, do I need this thing?
  12. That's a good bit of info - I have ordered some valve lube stuff, I'm in two minds about it but I appreciate the info about the rate of drops per minute - I had a sort of wheel of fortune type approach to it before.
  13. The engine bay, with and without beauty covers, as Scotty Kilner calls them:
  14. If memory serves it was £1300 give or take the price of a cup of tea and a loaf of bread. The tank is 70 litres underslung, and for the last few months Embassy Gas in Manchester was at 70p a litre - now 78p - but they provide 1950's style service where a chap comes out to fill it up for you. I think Morrisons is 72p at the moment.
  15. In case anyone is considering having their rx350 converted, I had mine done back end of last year by a chap in Bradford - Agis Autogas. His was the best price and thus far it has worked excellently, and he didn't make a mess of my engine bay, either. Very tidy job, glad I did it before the petrol price lunacy.
