I may have to give up driving due to health issues. I have an IS on a 3 year PCP which is 2 years and 4 months into contract. The car is is beautiful condition and less than 20k miles (within agreed mile age) Whats the best way to get out of the contract with least financial penalty and hopefully not too much of a negative impact on my credit rating? Ok I admit I have kerbed my alloys. Its not the first car I have done it ( yes I know - be more careful!) But it's the first time I have sen big chunks of flaking alloy come away from them. Should I push for a replacement or might I be given the cold shoulder and told that's what kerbing does for you?

I am due a 2nd year (20K) service on my IS250. Dealer quoted £325. Can I or dare I have it serviced outide Lexus authorised dealers? Seesm steep to me. Waht extyra will they do over a first year service to justify the money?

I have a IS250 Se and I am thinking of moving to a GS450h ( I normally finance througn a PCP). I notice that Lexus have a promotion weekend coming up for IS range, but has anyone had a good deal on a GS450h, are there good deals to be had on the GS range at present?

I appreciate that Lexus may have different componants and standards, but one can't help but wonder that the headline news both here and in the States about the parent company Toyota, will have an adverse affect on trade in values for Lexus or affect prices of new vehicles.

I know they are both rear wheel drive, but just wondered if the GS handles better in snow/ice. Does the weight help?

I have been quoted £65 +VAT for alloy wheel refurb ( due to kerbing damage). Is this a typical price?

I ask this because on a recent visit to a dealership, they were not too enthusiastic about my interst in a GS 450h. Perhaps they are selling OK in the current climate?. Maybe there are no deals to be had on 450h's even in the current economic climate?

I don't how many times people have asked what car I drive and when I reply "A Lexus" they come back with " Oh a posh Toyota". I actually smile most of the time, but inside I want to say something, but I just I can't seem to come up with a good retort!

I have had my new IS250 SE AUTO two weeks and so far I'm over the moon with it. When I went to fill her up for first time, I noticed that the neck of the fuel filler seem to wiggle a little. would you say this is normal? I pose the question as I have heard about recalls regarding fuel pipes.

I've heard some Lexus dealers have a Saturday wash club, where you can get a coffee and you car washed for free. Is this true..Does anyone use this service?

...compared to factory fit sensors that is?

Well, I got rid of my IS250 a year ago to downgrade to a Mini Cooper. Because of the very low mileage I do each year, My wife and I thought that the cost of running the vehicle couldn't be justified. The Mini is fun to drive and good on fuel, a year on, we feel it's just too small ( mainly boot area...almost none :-) ) and I missed the smooth auto box and comfort of the Lexus. So, we satrted to shop around to change car. Looked at Audi's. Mercs and Honda's, but last Saturday, I popped cak into my Lexus dealer and wonderd waht he could do...thinking it was a long shot ( My wife and I said we needed to stick to a budget, otehr wise it's easy to get acrried away!)...Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised that the deal to get me back into a IS250 Auto albeit SE and not SE-L, was just up our street. This was provided that we had one of their current stock..so this limited our choice naturally. We opted for Black with OakHam beige. ( My last IS was a black on black.) I vowed I'd never but anotehr BAlck car...keeping the ruddy thing clean and all that!!, but nevermind....BTW the dealer said they have a Saturday wash club. I hadn't heard this before. I thought they only did these things in the U.S. ..Do many people use this service? So now you know I had a moment of madness but I'll shortly be back in a Lexus!!!!!!!!

I have just ordered a 250 SE Auto in black with beige interior. I went into the dealer on Saturday and they gave me a cracking deal. I was delighted when I left the showroom..more importantly, so was the wife! However...and please try not to laugh...I am having doubts on some simple things. I have had a 250 before .. SE-L Auto ( don't ask why i got rid of it 12months ago, long story) I am glad to be getting back in to one. But the deal I have to suit my budget was on the SE. I am not bothered that i lose the HID lights or the electricrear blind and wood trim, but I hae been thinking over the weekend about not having parking sensors (OK ..stop laughing). my 'old' SELhad them and previous Mercs. So I am getting paranoid about crunching it in Tesco's car park :-) I gather you can get them done as retro fit, but not much change out of a grand! I could ask the dealer if I could change to a SE-L, but that knocks my budget and probably upset the wife!..it may be too late anyway.

Err...am I mssing something. I have locking wheel nuts. as supplied with the car, but they don't have covers. Well at least they don't appear to. I can see the recess for the adaptor tool and in fact they are starting to get surface corrsoion

Booked my IS250 in for dash rattles and seat belt recall notice. Picked it up last night (they had it for two days - but they did provide a courtesy car). They gave me a bottle of Champagne for my inconvenience :D However, when I dropped it off, I asked if the technician could hook up to it and enable auto door locking on drive away and auto mirror folding on park. The service desk advisor didn't know if this was possible. Anyway, the car still doesn't do this. (forgot to ask when I picked it up!) Have they not bothered or are these features not possible?
