  1. Michelin CrossClimate, but I don't know if they do the tyre size for 18.
  2. IMHO yes. Looking at your list alot is what I class as wear and tear. I will agree that the Lexus maintenance is more expensive than alot of other car manufacturers. Unfortunately sometimes it best to go back to the main dealer to get things fixed. Finally Lexus cars are well screwed and I'm hoping its better fighting off rust than my old Honda, which lasted for 16 years.
  3. I have a 2009 which can connect phone and stream bluethooth to car stereo.
  4. So my car failed the MOT due to warped discs. Wished the garage picked this up during the service. Regretting not going to Lexus main dealers. Anyway that's another story. So instead of going with indy garage recommendation Pagid, I checked online and purchased these Prianha. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255559710073?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=zcFw4YnRR-G&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=vAucZxGEQTG&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Gotta be better/longer lasting than the Apec which were fitter back in 2018 (less than 15k miles). Garage said the disc and pads had plenty of life, but the discs have warped. Let's see how these perform.
  5. I saved money, by getting my car service by independent garage. Lexus quoted £650 for 60K service, Independent garage £375 but I had to supply the service kit which cost £185 so all together £560 saving of £90. I think I would of paid the £90 for 1 year peace of mind warranty from Lexus.
  6. ony thing I can suggest is putting the key in Faraday pouch or box.
  7. Not real leather, but it does a good job covering the carpet. See attached.
  8. I recommend these, their not rubber mats, but they do fit nicely. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000828258426.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.17764467xOwrLQ&algo_pvid=fb7d480b-b9da-4801-a743-d16eb6b02876&algo_exp_id=fb7d480b-b9da-4801-a743-d16eb6b02876-7&pdp_ext_f={"sku_id"%3A"10000008671820193"}&pdp_pi=-1%3B42.07%3B-1%3B-1%40salePrice%3BGBP%3Bsearch-mainSearch&currentVehicleId=2382185641-0 Delivery can take a month, but worth the wait in my opinion.
  9. Has anyone installed any rear footwell lights in their IS250 / IS250C? I'm thinking of installing some as it's a little dark in the back of IS250C at night. I'm hoping I can piggyback the wires from the front footwell lights to the back of the front seats.
  10. Hi Lee, I would go with option B, take it to your local mechanic - old school, honest and hard working. It maybe a slight inconvenience sourcing for serivce pack online and supplying it to garage, but you have found a garage that is honest and I think you trust. Option A seems very cheap for major service. I was quoted £650 for Major service at Lexus Leicester. John
  11. After ripping out the panels in the boot, it turns out that the water is coming in from the rear lights. Looks like I will need to remove the lights and apply some sort of sealent and reinstall. Another one for the to-do-list. I did check the vents as shown in the above video and they were fine and the area was dry.
  12. Hi Paul, Sorry where are the side vents located? I too am finding water in the spare wheel space. There are rubber spaces that I can push/remove to drain the water, however I'm unsure where the water will go. Instead I have been drying the wheel well and trying to work out where all the water is coming from. I have checked the drain holes and they seem clear. Any advice welcomed. John
  13. So yesterday I picked the car up from Lexus Leicester and £700 pounds lighter. Fault was due to a window sensor switch which they took out , cleaned tested and reinstalled. Majority of the cost was due to labor as they had to manually put the roof back up to get to the panel of the window sensor switch. Lexus has kindly cleaned the car and it's now very clear that I need to get the car machine polished due to the tarp scatching the paint work. Anyone know a good detailer in Leicester?
  14. Hi Dec, I'll be honest I dont remember, tried so many times. Didn't even think if about the position of the windows. It's with Lexus now, lets hope it's something simple. Thanks for the reply Dec. John
  15. Hi All, So on Saturday afternoon after the weekly shopping i decided to vaccum the boot, and whilst i was vaccuming the boot I thought I'd get inbetween the roof arms and clear out the dry leaves that have fallen there. To get better access I opened the roof part way and cleared all the leaves out and this is where I went wrong. What I should of done was to close the roof, but no I foolishly opened the roof to complete the cycle. Once complete, I tried closing the roof and "Please check retractable system" I tried the following: 1. Turning the car on and off. (Several times) 2. Disconnect the battery for 30mins In the end I resorted to covering the car with tarp. Just my luck two nights of heavy rain and high winds! Today I took it into Leicester Lexus, they said they couldnt look at it today, but were happy to store the car in their workshop. Only positive so far was the open top drive to Lexus Leicester. Got a lot of stares, not about the car, but the idiot who's driving with the top down in the rain. Fingers cross it's a small issue and cheap fix. Will keep you all updated. John
  16. Hi Paul, I read somewhere that the original reverse camera will not work with CCS therefore you will need to purchase additional camera. I think it's a good thing as the Lexus standard reverse camera isnt that great and would be dated compared to a new reverse camera. I think the CCS reverse camera is a Sony 1080p. John
