Hi, can someone tell me where I can source a replacement radiator, part no. 422132-3836 I have looked on Rockauto and amayama and whilst there are radiators, none share the same part number - am I alright to use these? I know that some radiators (USDM maybe?) don't have an expansion tank to the left of the engine bay like mine. I have been looking at this one https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=4722936&cc=1432014&pt=2172&jsn=2797 Thanks.

This is most likely a "feature" of the smart key where holding the unlock button for a period of time will unlock the doors and then open all windows and the sunroof. Holding the lock button will close them. This becomes a problem if you accidentally sit on the unlock button when the keys are in your pocket for example - my bets are on this. If you can rule this out by trying it yourself then I'm not sure of the issue.

Strange noise

Glad we figured it out! That is correct. Usually once I have parked the compressor will kick in after about 10 seconds, I then wait for it to stop before switching the car off just so it is level. You may also notice it after coming to a stop after travelling at high speeds. This is because the car will lower itself down to improve fuel economy above 60mph I believe. If you can feel the compressor kick in through the footwell area, the mounts may need replacing on the air compressor - I have left mine at the moment as I don't really mind the noise/vibration. -

Did you try manually adjusting the height of the air suspension, just to rule it out? You should have a button near the gear selector that says something like "Height - High" and should run the air compressor for around 30 seconds to raise the car a little bit. -
I've only owned 2 Skoda Octavias and my current LS430 in my 4 years of driving so I am yet to own a sports car 😁. The thought of an IS F does interest me greatly…

Late to the topic but I have had a Carista OBD2 plugged in for months at a time and have had no issues in my LS430.

If you have air suspension then it could be the compressor kicking in? When parking up or stopping after driving at higher speeds I can hear and feel mine kick in for about 20-30 seconds to raise the car up. You could try manually changing the cars height and listen out for the same noise. -

On UK-based keyboards pressing right alt + 4 at the same time will give you a €. -
I have recently noticed that when I am stopped in Drive with my foot on the brake, the car will idle at around 450-500rpm and I can feel a vibration through the steering wheel. When releasing the brake pedal, the car is sluggish to move meaning I am having to use the accelerator to move off. Before this the car would idle at around 550-600rpm in Drive and got up to at least 5mph without having to press the accelerator at all. In Park and Neutral the RPM seems to be as it was before at around 750rpm. I have not really tested it in Reverse. I was thinking it was perhaps throttle body/MAF sensor related but wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas.

Yep, but I'd prefer to know what gear I am in and I would rather not have to wait for it to kick-down. Also I find that if it does decide to kick-down, it can shift into 2nd with only say 500-1000 RPMs until the redline so it'd be faster to keep it in 3rd and use the lower end torque of the engine without the gearbox having to shift twice. The added bonus of the engine braking in 3rd is nice if you happen to step north of the speed limit.

In my facelift (6-speed) PWR mode will increase the throttle response quite a bit and it will stay in a lower gear for longer. I have also noticed that in more "spirited" driving it will also downshift for you under heavy braking - when ECT is in it's normal mode the car will not downshift under braking unless you are going down a hill, at least from my experience.

I did on my 430 as the disc in there was from 2011. The latest one for my generation of sat nav is from 2018 so includes a lot more roads and Points of Interest. I did not buy it from main dealer as there are many aftermarket alternatives for much cheaper - I got mine for £30. I don't often use the Sat Nav but whenever I do I am always impressed with how good it is, displaying "live" traffic updates, road works and road closures. Handy on the motorway as it shows a list of upcoming junctions and service stations and tells you how far away they are. If there is congestion or roadworks it will show you that in between the entries on the list. If I really need to find somewhere I will use my iPhone, either Apple Maps or "Waze" as that shows GPS speed, the speed limit and cameras.
