Thats my car in the picture. The rear protector in the pic is actually for a Mk1 Rx300, however when I purchased it from Lexus Brighton, it was the only protector available for the rear bumper and they told me it was actually the correct one for the Mk2! I fitted it myself in about 30mins. It is a very easy job and comes with excellent diagram and instructions and is basically backed with self adhesive tape which simply makes it stick to the bumpers surface. I have seen many Mk2 Rx300 fitted with this and IMHO I think it looks better than the black rubber one which is available and fitted to the Rx 400 as std. This is not the clear film protector to which you refer. I originally had this fitted by the dealer, but it was such a bad fit and looked awful that they removed it again and didn't charge me for the part or their efforts, which is why i ended up with the protector you see in the picture. Hi folks, Just wanted to find out about the reversing camera in the RX.. Got my 02 GS300 se/nav wrote off about 6 weeks back (not my fault by the way) and was thinking of now getting a 03 RX with sat nav but wanted to know if had the rev camera,, its the new shape one. Only had my GS for about 3 months before the accident.Had a IS200 for about 3 years before that, really liked the GS but though I would try an Rx,any advice would be helpful .. Cheers, Nigel

Here's an update to the problem ..tried the wd40 and had no joy so I rang my local Lexus dealer and was told the car would have to come in for them to look at, now I desided to get the car in myself due to the fact it would cost a fortune for there tow. Now here's a bit a advice if your car is out of warranty get a good reliable mechanic to do the job. Lexus fitted a complete lock set the cost of which was £137. But a cost of labour was £202 Total cost with vat £399 :yack: When I got the car home whick by the way is 95 mile from my dealer,I put the car into my garage and as the headlights are set at auto they came on but NO DASH LIGHTS and no light around the ignition keys..So 400 pounds and half a job :yack: Rant over Thanks again to those replied Cheers Nige

Just gat back in from being away all day and have checked ignition and yes it is stuck in ACC position ,The clock was one and there was power in Radio.. Able the get it so there is no power to clock or radio but it is still sitting in ACC so I quess this is why remote is not workimg Will try the wd40 tomorrow ..heres hopeing Cheers and thanks for now Nige

MetServeUK.was your mates car key also not turning in ignition switch as well mines is like the switch is frozen solid.( Not turn left not turn right ) Going away all day Sunday so will get a look at fuses later ..Do you know where this fuse is in the car ..? Colin all help is very much needed and no question is a stupid one..it is the right key and I also have a spare tried it and still no good. franmac, yep got power .I also tried lucking the steering wheel with the key removed and the wheel just keeps turning. The key will not turn in the ignition !! Please keep any suggestions coming . Thanks Nige

Can anyone help ?? The ignition switch is not turning in my IS200 and also the remote locking has stopped working as well. I cannot turn on car as well as I'm not able to lock it. Anyone any ideas of what would be wrong these two problems happined at once so they must be related to the one thing..?? The only thing that I was diong at the time was changing my headlamp bulbs,everyting was wooking ok I turned on the car ti check the lights and then turned it of.I then went to open the boot with the remote and the boot would not open I then tried to lock the car and this is when I noticed the remote locking was not working.I then went to start car and this is when I found out the ignition was jammed .. Anyone please have any ideas or can suggest anything I can check Thanks Nige

Just had a 50k service done this week at Lexus Belfast and the cost was £208 and that included front brake pads. No gold members discount.! So 200 sounds about right. :D Hope this helps Nige

Hi everyone its been a wile :) Heres the problem,,just had my 50k service done today and I was told to have the alignment checked for my front tyres as the near side front was wore badly on the inside. Now on the way home I done so and everything was 100%. The only thing I can think of is the camber might be out ?? All 3 other tyres have even wear apart from the near side front !! Also this tyre has only done approx 8k miles to the others (12k) I had to renew this one as I hit a large stone on the road one night and split the wall of the original mybe this has done something alow nothing looks bent !! Also has anyone have any settings for the camber on the IS200 ? Any help would be appreciated Cheers and Thanks Nige

Yep me ..no problems as yet.Took about 15 days from when first ordered to up in running. Just after doing a speed chek on http://www.adslguide.org.uk/ upstream @ 451 kbps downstream @ 251 kbps I'm happy enough with it so fer ..on ADSL from november last year and so far (touch wood) has not went down yet.
