Ls 400 Problem

So does the alternator drop out of the bottom, managed to get mine off but looking for a easier way to put it back on !! Been quoted £90 for a swap from a place in milton keynes !! -
Did you have a warning light on[ alternator not charging] or did the whole thing just drop dead? ← The whole thing just died,but the needles went funny moments before knew something wrong.I have got the alternator out with great difficulty left it with a gagrage to test,does anyone know a how to change alternator site.

hi guys my car died on a journey last night. The AA man seems to thing its the alternator.So i have put the battery on charge and hope it was a weak battery otherwise i am looking for a reconditioned alternator.Is there any help on how to get this out and also any idea how much it going to set me back.

does any one know how to set the idle speed on ls400 and what should it be !! and how to check the alternator is there a diagnostic for it ! Please help my car is poorly

how can a faulty battery tobe to blame i will check it though !!,because the car starts up fine !!

my car developed new fault can anybody tell me a diagnosis. first the idle has dropped to abut 650rpm and then when the revs below 600 all the warning symbols come on in the cluster.rev the engine a little and the y go away.but now they seem to come at any time (all of them).Then last night pulled up on the drive way and the rev counter went mad updown up down. has anybody had this problem !! Is it earthing! Where do start Jim/anil

when heater seats switched on the light comes on but no heat in the seats,any body have this problem. is there a solution or is this a dealer problem !!

me Again, once the headlight washer is switched on it stays on till i switch off ignition.please help meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! any fix or is this a dealer case

hi guys, my instrument panel does not light up,took it a apart and there is 2 tube lights behind all the panels(round ones) has any one had a fix for this or do i need to buy a new cluster.What are the costs !! if there is a fix where can i can the bulbs(tubes) jim

i have just got a ls 400 back on the road find out what catagory it is first a cat c is fine i think but cat d is a bit serrious and u need to get a special mot the other is just a normal mot !! -
ls 400 '93, My washers stay on when switched on ihave to switch off car to turn washer off,is there any easy fix for this.It emptys washer bottle in one go !!

just acquired Ls 400 ((93 L) the dash instrumnets don,t light up,anybody know how to change the bulb !!and ...............The needles do but not behind the speedo ! need to have it serviced and cambelt changed (no service history) any ideas how much and where Lexus want £800 > Looked for the fuse box could not finf !!
