I need a set of rear brake pads for my 1993 ls400 part nu. 04466-50060 original number or 04466-YZZC2 alternative number according main dealer. Unfortunately discontinued. Struggling to find anyone who does, any ideas?

Well I went down the route of buying an original unit on eebay. Unfortunately there was also a problem with the unit, in fact, more problems than mine! So think its going to be aftermarket, if I can figure out the wiring to adapt the harness.

I managed to check the speakers on the passenger side and they are all good. So back to the head unit with cost like that its going to have to be a replacement. Where did you buy the harness and plate to fit? Thanks

I have done a little more investigation had a look at the speaker cones all seem to be good. Took the amp out in the boot for the sub had a look inside, circuit board looks ok nothing obvious . So I suspect its the head unit as the both speakers on the passenger side are making sounds just very muffled nothing from sub. Would probably like to keep it stock . Anyone recommend someone who repairs or have a second hand unit.

Thanks for your reply. I did locate the amp in the boot as you said. Is there a second one for the CD? Your install looks very good! Is there not anyway you can link to the CD unit in the boot. Does your system still use the existing subwoofer?

Need some advise on my new to me Ls 400 1993 sound system. A few problems radio difficult to find station, cassette player doesn't work, cd changer plays but only sound on drivers side speakers , nothing from bass rear speaker. I put a multi meter on it recorded 6.5 v. Passenger speakers sounds like you are listening to music underwater. Can these units be repaired or am I best to swop it out. If so what have people fitted? Also clock /climate LCD displays unreadable.

Hi, I used Autodoc to buy a KYB spring for 1993 LS400, good price, took five days to arrive. Been fitted about a week now, sits a little higher but all good so far. -
Hi Steve I have checked the balance control which seems to work, but if your turn it to the passenger side I just get a muffed quiet sound. The subwoofer no sound and when I put a Multimeter on it I got 6.3v. The Cassette player doesn't work and the CD is a bit hit and miss as it comes up with err display sometimes.

Ok Thanks. Good news about the springs and I sure when I fill up with petrol it will settle down a bit. I don't know where the amp is either, CD player is in the boot.

Just a quick update ended up buying one and onlyKYB spring from Germany.Had it fitted passed mot good result but car now lopsided. Garage sourced another spring and fitted now even although looks a little high. Spent the weekend replacing alternator and belt now system charging all good. Next problem is the sound system is only working on one side and muffled sound on other side. Subwoofer is also not working. I am sure it was. Any ideas please? Much appreciated.

New to me Ls 400 1993 has just failed its MOT on a broken rear coil spring and I am having trouble tracking one down. I can see from previous post the part I require is a KYB RD5979. Anyone got any ideas were I can get hold of one in this country. On the positive side that was the only thing it failed on and it has been off the road for 3 years.
