  1. Well it looks a lot better than that stupid Transit van thing with a pair of armchairs in the back and a Scania truck grille on the front.
  2. I bought the car about 3 yrs ago and downloaded the Lexus update to update the nav system (MM 19).At the first attempt,I used a 64gb stick and it wouldn't work. Then I read the manual (I know..RTFM) and used a 32 GB stick formatted to Fat32 and it worked.I would assume that the system can only accommodate a 32 GB stick.... whether for map updates,or music storage. It's really simpler to use your phone as a storage medium.
  3. I'm not certain on this, but my 2020 RC system only accepted a 32gb stick when updating the nav.system..I guess the same will apply to audio.
  4. Why don't you send them one in the post..to make sure. They are very helpful and knowledgeable.Ive bought from them a couple of times.. although it was in person as they are only 7 miles away.
  5. I hope anybody who responds does so by PM to as it wouldn't be very secret.
  6. Góod dashcams come with a sensor that cuts off power when the battery gets below a certain adjustable voltage.I installed mine about 2years ago and no problems since.
  7. I don't know how you get to £2000. I bought a space saver for my RC last year for about £270.It sits on my boot floor and doesn't slide around. It still leaves ample space for luggage or shopping. And,no,the RC doesn't have a large boot. Was your spare gold or some exotic material?
  8. ......I only hope the "developers" of the Link App are kept away from this project.
  9. Definitely agree on the eye examination.Catatacts sometimes develop fairly slowly,so you may not notice your vision worsening.Once treated(outpatients for an afternoon)anda few days recovery you are as good as new.
  10. The boot seal on my RC easily closes on my Noco trickle charger cable, with no damage to either seal or cable.
  11. Don't mention the war.I mentioned it once and I think I got away with it.....
  12. I think you'll find that the trim is"vegan Tahara" which has never been near a cow.
  13. If it has been sitting idle for about 2 months, could mice have moved into the engine bay and nibbled the wiring? Apparently they often go for the air filter.
  14. I've had a 2020 RC 300h for just over 2 years now.My mpg doing local short journeys ranges between 38-43 , depending on weather/temperature. Last April,I drove from Hampshire in Southern England to Donegal/Fermanagh and averaged about 45 mpg, driving right on or around the speed limits all the way. The car is extremely comfortable, quiet and relaxing to drive...but it's no Porsche but again,no Porsche size bills. It just wafts around with completely adequate performance.Legroom and to a certain extent, headroom, are pretty limited in the rear. In summary,I've owned much faster cars, better handling cars but none of them approach the RC for both a relaxed drive and ownership experience. If you can stretch to it ,go for a facelift 2020 on F sport with Takumi pack.
  15. Lexus Hedge End do the 15% discount and are very efficient. Whilst I was there,I went into the nearest Halfords for a Noco starter pack and was not able to get the LOC discount.Apparantley it was because the item was for sale at a discounted price.
  16. Use the volume button on the Mark Levinson. I found the brand new ES f sport I had as a loan car while mine was in for a service to be pretty quiet while cruising on the motorway. However, plastic seats on a car at this level... unbelievable. They could at least have used fabric,or more appropriately, leather.
  17. In my case, Lexus and Motorola kept blaming each other. The only solution was AAWireless, which has worked perfectly and seamlessly since.Glad you managed to resolve the problem....despite no help.
  18. This reminds me of a new company car that was delivered to my home in 2003.It arrived late Friday afternoon on a low loader so was left on the drive overnight. As I wanted to wash our own car,my wife took the new co. car down the lane to the village to get some shopping. On the return journey (about 2 miles each way),she hit a pothole which not only burst the tyre, but buckled the alloy wheel. The lease company were not impressed at having to replace a wheel and tyre with only about 3 miles on the clock.
  19. Excellent choice.I was gearing up to buy one but had my head turned by the RC. You should go to Motorlux Mazda in Newbury...sales contact Dave Beard. Used them for service for 10 years and sold back both my Mazdas to them.
