  1. Hi Philip, I just double checked mine and I'm afraid to say that just like the consensus of opinion above, it does seem to be damage. On a better note, you can setup the touch controls on the left side of the steering wheel to also control temp which does make it a little easier! and you do get used to the high Start button. My ES300h before this had a low one and I kept going for that......
  2. I have same car in same colour but the red interior. You are going to love it! Easily the best car I've ever owned. Hope you enjoy.
  3. I had originally ordered a NX350h F-Sport but as the delays just got longer and longer I ended up buying the 450h+ demonstrator from my dealer. Speaking with the dealer they have suggested that Lexus are prioritising 450h+ build and delivery as it is their premium product and 1st PHEV so they want to see more of those in the market before bringing 350h's in too. Whilst it now doesn't impact me, if I was waiting on the 350h as before and found this out I'd be pretty peeved. Keep the faith though, they are truly fabulous cars and well worth the wait.
  4. Hi all, I'm coming up to 3 months into ownership of my 450h+ and I've received some amazing figures from it. First tank of fuel lasted me 2800 miles. I've noticed recently that the number of miles from a charge has slipped down to 41 from its original 48 when I picked it up. Whilst I know that some of this may be due to driving style etc I wondered if there is a recommended way to charge the car. I quite often do small journeys and then immediately recharge the car with maybe only 10-20 miles used. My question is, is my charging style impacting the range and should I be regularly running down the entire charging range or do the batteries in this car cope well with "top-ups"? Any experience and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Marc
  5. Panic over, have worked it out. The car has two choices for connectivity for GraceNote lookup. It can either use its internal DCM unit or if available, WiFi. For the lookup to actually work you need to have a strong enough DAB signal to get the RDS data back, this is then used over the DCM unit (or WiFi) to lookup and download album art. If you don't have both the strong RDS signal and also a connection over either DCM or WiFi, album art lookup will fail and it will just show the Radio Station logo.
  6. Hi Alex, In the new NX GraceNote's new MusicID service is linked into the car so when listening to a track on DAB it shows the track details and album art. I believe this has now moved from local DB to Cloud connection. Just trying to ascertain how the connection is delivered.
  7. I'm getting similarly impressive results from mine. Filled up on the day I picked it up and I'm 2500 miles in and still have 3 bars of fuel. Admittedly it's all about the use case (ie: lots of short journeys on EV) but I'm mighty impressed with the overall consumption. For such a big car with so many features I can't see anything else that comes even mildly close in the market.
  8. Hi all, does anyone know what connection is used in the NX to do album art lookups when listening to DAB radio? I know that the car has an internal cellular connection for things such as the LexusLink app functions but does it use that for the GraceNote lookups or does it use the primary connected device (ie: iPhone) internet connection? Trying to assist in solving an issue where DAB radio isn't showing track art.
  9. I had the annoying 8 beeps at seemingly random times when I walked away from my car and locked it. Couldn't get to the bottom of it. Turns out I had a couple of golf clubs on the rear seat that trigger the warning. I proved it by first of all spending a few days with a completely empty rear seat (1 beep when locking every time). Then I disabled the rear seat detection warning and put my clubs back. Still nothing but a single beep on lock. All seems good. Whilst we are on the subject of beeping I got mega frustrated with the boot closing button that also locks the car. Every time I pressed it I just got a prolonged single beep and the boot didn't shut. Turns out that it has a proximity sensor built in that means after you press the button you need to step right away from the boot and it will then close and lock. Guess it saves me from taking a chunk out of my bald bonce!
  10. I see you have yours on order Paul (Hillie), I think you will be well pleased.
  11. Ordered Feb22 - Last quote / estimate for delivery was around November22
  12. I ordered my 350h back in February and as I watched the dates slip further and further away I decided that I wasn't prepared to wait any longer so went to cancel the order. My dealer (who is amazing by the way) mentioned they had just decided to sell on the first 450h+ demonstrator they got. Couldn't resist it so went ahead and have been blown away how good the car is. For those waiting, whilst I let my impatience get the better of me I assure you, it will be worth the wait. Amazing car and I can feel myself being a Lexus customer for life.
  13. Of course, I hadn't though of the fact that you don't fully drain but leave partial battery for HV. That actually makes the cost case even more compelling! Thanks for pointing out.
  14. Thanks "Hillie" and "Harrier Man". I'll do a bit more digging and feedback on what I find.
  15. When I go into the Music screens on my NX450h+ I get the "Sources" option in the bottom left corner. When selecting this I see all items I would expect such as DAB, Phone, Bluetooth, USB etc but I also see an "Apps" option that is greyed out. Any idea what this is? Wondering if its a hangup from the American market where the car has Internet Radio. Help!
  16. I've had my 450h+ for about two weeks and most of my journeys are short around town driving. Filled the tank up on day 1 and it shows 535 miles on fuel and 47 miles EV range. I've driven over 500 miles since collection and so far I've used 22 miles of fuel and all of the rest has been on EV. I'm regularly getting close to 47 miles range and my miles per kw/h is now up to 2.6. The car is incredible on EV if you are a sensible driver and use it at the "sweet spot" speeds. Obviously as soon as you start getting 65+mph the EV range drops away a bit. I haven't yet put a Type2 EV Charger in place so I'm charging from good old 240V mains 3-pin plug which usually takes around 5.5 hrs. Value wise, I reckon a full charge costs around £3.20 with my electric being costed at 17.66p per kw/h. When the electric market finally sorts itself out and I'm able to swap suppliers I'm going to move to a specific EV tariff which will mean that if I charge it overnight, it will cost around 65p. It may be an expensive car to buy outright but if your usage case is correct with the style of motoring you do the savings will be enormous. I would finally add that its a quite incredible car to drive so for any of you waiting on your 450h+ deliveries, trust me, it will be worth it. Hope this helps.
  17. I'm on the cusp of purchasing a NX450h+ and was considering taking tyre and wheel insurance. I started digging about to see if the insurance was any real value and have stumbled across the fact that it seems almost impossible to get RunFlat versions of a 235/50R20 V100 anywhere. I went back to the dealership who have basically acknowledged that this is an issue and they are liaising with Lexus. I can't see the value in taking any insurance if even Lexus main agent can get a tyre for these cars. My school of thought is that before I purchase I want assurances from the dealer that if I'm unlucky enough the get a puncture and they can't supply me a tyre they will supply me another car until they can rectify the situation. Not sure how that convo will go but I will let you all know. In the meantime, I found this which appears to be about the only RunFlat in that size available in the UK. https://www.tyre-shopper.co.uk/yokohama-bluearth-xt-ae61-tyres?size=235-50-20&speed=v&load=100&id=2355020YK8VR
  18. I've also just mailed the dealership to try and get instructions on how to get the Lexus Link app tracking the order properly as I can't see it. If I get some decent feedback on how to get it done I will post here.
  19. Morning all, I ordered my NX back in mid February 2022 and the current lead time I'm getting from the dealership is around Oct/Nov delivery. I will update here as I get closer estimations. The dealer is also telling me that orders currently being placed are drifting into first to second quarter 2023. I've ordered NX350h F-Sport in Celestial Blue with Pano Roof. Current car : ES300h F-Sport (21) in F-Sport White with Red Interior.
