  1. Thanks for all the info so far- luckily MPG is not a big problem as my compnay picks up the fuel bill :-) one of the rare car allowance schemes where i get a fully expensed fuel card and cash allowance for my own car.
  2. Thanks for the informtion sounds like good advice, any one got a MK 1V for sale? What do you think is the cost range of a good quality with FSH?
  3. Help, Yes I know, buy the best you can afford, but I need to understand is there much difference between years. I can probably afford up to a 2000 model or therabouts . Are there changes to the model which make one year or poste one year a particularly better model? I will buy later this year and have just started my research. As usual I want an immaculate buy with FSH preferably a dark clour with cream interior. Be glad to hear of your views you lot are probably the most experienced Lexus drivers after all.
  4. I retire next year. For the last 30 years I have driven over 40,000 miles PA, thats right mathematicians that over 1.2 million miles. I have had almost every car you can thing of other than BMW . So here's the quest I have test driven both the LS400 & LS430. Both are superb & I want one of them either a late LS400 or early LS430 (the eventual choice next year will be a cost thing). But & there always is one isn't there? The only way I can afford the running costs of either of these superb vehicles, is if I convert to LPG. I will not be doing the mileage I used to but I reckon I will still be doing circa 12,000 miles pa. So does it work? Do the economics make sense? Power loss of a minor nature does not matter plenty left for anyone Any clear downside issues? Let me know what you think. Leo
